Yup once they heard they were going to subpoena Pelosi they threw in the towel.
turns out the Dems. didn't want to call witnesses after all. After they got theirs butts handed to them on a platter yesterday, I'm not surprised that they threw in the towel today. The Trump lawyers did a very good job, IMO, of showing just how hypocritical a whole slew of Dems. are that are sitting Senators. Showed how the Dems had cut several video clips short of showing what the true meaning of "fight" was when Trump spoke of fighting. Showed several video clips showing several Dems. calling for unrest in the streets. It was quite the slap in their faces.
Now they can get down to the important business of "fundamentally changing" the country.
If you can find some of their talks (that haven't been deleted). The d's and those traitor R's, like romney. Have said they want to do something to keep from trump to run for any office, ever again. My question in a comments section was. Exactly what are these politicians afraid of, they want to keep trump from running for any political office?
it's like they know they are going to fuck up so bad the think trump could actually win again next time....
These people are abhorrent and I am disgusted 2 of them are from my native state.
Where the fuck did NeGoose come from anyway?
Are they going to go after Trump next for owing 45 cents from his school lunch in the 4th grade?
They didn't have the votes to begin with to do anything but acquit him. They needed a two-thirds majority and there wasn't the interest from enough Republicans to get it done. The R's that voted "guilty" did so because they either hated Trump to begin with or needed to appease their constituents so they have a shot at reelection.
If the D's wanted to highlight a fractured Republican team, they accomplished it.
I don't think they have to worry too much about him successfully running again, or in other words, being elected. Between the middle-center GOP and the Trumplicans (for a lack of a better name), there's a reasonable probability that the party is cleaving before 2024. If not officially, in practice at minimum. There's some efforts by the former to cleave and rumors (probably unsubstantiated) about the latter doing it too. In any event, the internal divisiveness is dumb, guaranteeing socialist victory across the board in '24.
Unless he wisely decides not to run at all, anyone imagine Trump endorsing any other candidate besides himself? It's not controversial to say he's got an ego bigger than Goodyear's blimp. If he doesn't run, we have a chance, if he does, we're doomed even if he doesn't get the nom. We'd have a solid chance in 24' if a non-controversial candidate is agreed upon, but I can't imagine it even if I can hope for it. I know a lot of people would LOVE Trump as the nominee again (including some on the far left), this late in the game it would be even less successful as the left's intelligence in running Hillary in 2016.
If the far left had a brain, they would encourage Trump to run again in 2024 and stop the vindictive politicking, and watch the GOP implode. Brains aren't part of the qualifications for politicking, though.
And the impeachment crap is just political grandstanding and a waste of time.... and they knew it both times. I liken it to an office manager giving you a promotion by changing your job title, but doing nothing else. Lots of pats on the back by the lefts, but they knew they were wasting time and wasting headlines the entire time.
One glance at the makeup of the Senate alone and you could predict "not happening" with nearly 100% odds.
Orange man bad
So, what you?re saying is that they will finally “just leave Brittany,,,,, er, ah, Bush alone”. ?
