I had never heard of him before. Might have popped up on my radar since it was out here in WA.
Looks like he fell short of the landing area, for those that are curious.

I was thinking the same thing when I read the OP yesterday. Had he made it, he or someone else would have then pushed to break the record again (wash, rinse, repeat) until someone died. Looks like they met the threshold for that. The next guy might think a little longer before attempting.Quote:

These old school sort of daredevils that just jump staright aren't that entertaining anymore. Cool bro you can ride fast and straight. Apparently in this case not fast enough. Or maybe his ramp building crew screwed the pooch. Either way, awful price to pay for something that's not that impressive even if successful.
The things people do on dirt bikes everyday are FAR more impressive than what this guy was attempting. The things the riders do in Nitro Circus for example are incredible and beyond what anyone could have dreamed of not long ago. Those guys have truly advanced the sport.
