Anyone been hit with this latest round of storms? Flash flood warnings. Any hail? May take some precautions.
Hoping I70 doesn?t get hit with more mudslides.

No hail central Denver Glendale area. Heavy large drop rain with 25 degree drop.
Was listening to NPR and got an alert that said Weld and Laramie Counties were in trouble.
Here's the Government's Storm Prediction Center website... I recommend checking this every few days through the summer...

Lots of wind and lightning at my place but no hail. I’d imagine there were some flash floods downhill from me. It was gushing down the gutters and sidewalks rapidly.
Some good storms around the country lately.
This was the Pantano wash down the road from me, last week.
Normally it's bone dry with trails where people ride horses and atv's.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...bf43926148.jpg

No hail Centennial
Nice little shower
Weather station in my back yard north of Bennett shows no rain yet
Just had a quick, heavy downpour near Quincy Reservoir. No hail, some winds, thunder.
I have a splitting headache. So something is coming.
I-70 through Glenwood Canyon is still closed. Yesterday, I drove I-70 across the state and squeezed through less than 5 minutes before they closed the interstate through the canyon. It was closed on the possibility of flash flooding in the areas burned by the fire last year.
It looks likely Glenwood Canyon will still be closed when I head east next week. The alternate route is north through Craig, Steamboat Springs, Kremmling and back to I-70 at Silverthorne, a 4.5 hour detour! It doubles my drive time to 9 hours. I think we'll be dealing with Glenwood Canyon road closures for the next several years.
Down pour with lots of electricity in Stapleton currently
Nice gentle rain at my place. Glad I got my yard work done today.
Finally got some rain.
Still nothing in my little corner of Centennial but the temps have really dropped with a nice breeze, hope the rains come tomorrow!
How true. Up here in northern AZ, it's more hail, HEAVY RAINS and a tornado, south of town. I don't want to say there was lots of hail damage.
BUT..................... there's a few people kicking back, on the west side of the property. WATCH OUT FOR THOSE SKUNKS ;)
Tell some of that rain to come up here. No measurable rain in 2 months.
We were hoping for some heavy rain. Disappointed again.
Just so any western travelers know, There is a massive highway construction project between Gunnison and Montrose, so I recommend people do take the Kremmling-Springs-Craig route as opposed to the Buena Vista-Gunnison-Montrose-GJ route, as it is probably well over 4.5 hours. The construction project is why the southern detour is not included in official routing. Remember folks: You won't beat the system by taking the "off the list" route this time.
Longmont got a nice soaking for an hour or so. Lightning like crazy. No hail
Hoping we can get round two tonight. Fingers crossed.
Good rain last night, will see what happens today.
One of the best lighting storms I've ever seen by Morrison last night. Went on constantly for an hour+. Only 1/4" of rain though.
Thanks for the heads up FoxtArt, it got me looking closer at the routes. The detour around Glenwood Canyon through Craig, Steamboat Springs and Kremmling back to I-70 at Silverthorne to our home in PV is 6 hours 40 minutes and 353 miles.
Or from Kremmling I could go through Grand Lake and RMNP over Trail Ridge Road to PV for 6 hours 51 minutes and 341 miles. If I can secure a reservation into RMNP I'll go that way. Maybe see some elk and ptarmigan along the way.
Normally my trip to the farm and back is 4.5 hours and 252 miles.
Oh, and we got a good soaking rain last night. Enough to strand 88 people in their cars due to mud slide flooding in Glenwood Canyon.
It's about time there was an actual reason for traffic to be stopped in Glenwood Canyon.
We got big hail yesterday with Heavy rain here in wellington, pretty sure my roof is toast again and shredded my plants and trees. Wind blew 20feet of my fence to peices spent this morning fixing it. Just what I needed.
And we whined about getting sprinkled on walking the dogs tonight.....
We drove to the Springs today, Academy and Constitution area, at 3PM to pick up a FB buy.
Perfect timing.
Had to plastic wrap the large and heavy items prior to loading in the pickup.
It decided to pour buckets around that time. Not wanting to inconvenience the seller any more, we left to go strap and pad things down better under cover somewhere. I found a closed bank drive through to park under just 3 blocks away and started working on it. Either the bank or the metal building next door took a direct lightning strike. I just about crapped myself down both legs.
Something appeared to fall from the overhead but I saw nothing on the ground except my scat. I now think it was one of the tube capsules returning to the car lane.
Rain pretty much pounded on us most of the way home back up 83.
Nice evening soaker at home this evening. Perfect, nothing severe.
Centennial had a light shower this morning. Just enough to run the wipers
We got around 2 inches last night just west of Trinidad. Trinidad got quite a bit more, as we were there for the county fair sale. West of us on the Spring fire burn scar there were major mudslides snd shut down hwy 12. Hwy 160 east of Trinidad had water over the highway in a few places.
Sounding more like California every day.
We got 2 inches in Colorado CIty and still raining. 4 inches in Rye
Went to the El Paso county Friends of the NRA banquet last night and the hotel was without power for the first 45 minutes. There was enough emergency lighting and flashlights to carry on. It turned out to be a good night and even though I did not win anything major. I25 had standing water in places and saw one car on its roof (with emergency crews on scene) near the Fillmore exit.
We were gone this past week, but no damage at the foothills compound upon arrival last night- just driveway washouts and debris.
An inch in Briargate yesterday/last night. Slow, soaking rain.
O2
Pueblo West got a smidgen of precipitation. It is smoky as ever. I'd say visibility is two miles.
