One or 2 gallon water jug that will withstand freezing

I typically carry a gallon of water in my truck. Every year about the time of the first cold snap I remember that I left it in the bed and it freezes and breaks.

Does anyone know of a water jug of one or 2 gallons in capacity that can withstand multiple freezing cycles?

Typical gallon juice bottle from a store. Get one with a handle and tie it down or tie your milkcrate down.
I think mine is a old apple juice or cran-apple bottle. Tinted windows slow the growth of algae during the summer.

Adding 6-8 drops of bleach per gallon will do the same.

Arizona sweat tea gallon at Walmart. Very thick jugs.

Just don?t tip it off and the liquid should have room to expand when it freezes?

Arizona tea jug could be a good low cost option. Had a couple freeze after being left overnight & they didn't fail. Unsure about repeated exposure though.

I freeze one gallon Hawaiian Punch bottles to use in coolers and for extra water while camping, haven't had one break yet.

keep water jugs in vehicles year round. Keep them 3/4 full in winter, basic 1gal containers, formerly held distilled water.

I’ve had several Arizona tea bottle shatter when frozen. They’re thick, but not malleable plastic. At least they weren’t when I used a few for this idea about a decade ago. I now just use regular water/milk jugs that are flexible and only fill them up about 90%.

I have a blue water two gallon container that looks like a mini gas can, thick plastic. Leave it outside all Winter with water, and no failures yet. I think it's made in Canada? Currently under 3-feet of snow, but in the Spring I'll see if there's a manufacturer name on it.
