Provided this is his actual writing, his manifesto is detailed. He has a planned timeline and a breakdown of his weapons. Also some bad things about guns.
"-The weapon must be able to kill quickly and efficiently. A firearm that is light, deadly to others(basically all firearms fit this category), can fire ammunition as quickly as needed, can holdmany rounds of ammunition without reloading, and can reload quickly are most optimal for thisattack."
Great ammo for the ban everything crowd.
Obviously a nut. Sad lonely kid.
Unfortunately, Rooski is likely correct that this one will last a bit longer than some.
...used a rifle to boot.
-The AR-15 and its variants are very deadly when used properly. Which is the reason why I
picked one. High capacity magazines and ammunition that causes (enough) ballistic damage to
kill effectively will be used. The AR-15 is readily accessible even in cucked New York, and after
some modifications will be able to effectively kill. Plus, the media loves to hate on the AR-15,
which may increase media coverage and public outlash.
This asshole is trying to save the white race but he's really doing a disservice to those of us that are firearms enthusiasts.
No doubt many members of our local political fiefdoms are pleasuring themselves in anticipation while watching coverage of this attack.
I'm not into conspiracy theory...but an 18-year-old going full whacko a day after California court says 18-21 can buy guns and right before a major Supreme Court 2A decision in the same state. How convenient.
Sadly, the more bodies the more the Libs and anti gunner love it. Sick.
I don’t feel that would be the intent.
Look how fast they have “Hate Crime” charges mentioned on this guy. Within minutes of his custody they have his entire manifesto full of racial statements.
His manifesto is odd, purposely hitting on every talking point that has been spewed the last couple of years. It is very detailed with gear info. Either this guy was a full on autistic/ocd that documented things in great detail or????

This one does have a certain stench to it.
Good thing the President chimed in.
"We must do everything in our power to end hate-fueled domestic terrorism."
And yet he's silent on this..

CHICAGO SHOOTING
Chicago shootings: 28 shot, 5 fatally, in weekend violence, CPD says
His discord server is extremely detail oriented and checklists the planning on the discord started around march
Rip the victim’s and their families terrible
This doesn't pass the sniff test. Then again, lately, a lot doesn't.
This dude = racist.
Black guy who promoted violence against white people and killed a bunch = controversial views on race.

Such a surprise- Perp was previously investigated for making threats against his high school.
So far I have seen a few calls for "common sense gun control". The NY Governor says CEOs of internet companies need to be held accountable. One fool called it "military style execution", whatever that is.
I haven't heard anyone call for banning body armor... yet. Asshole took a round from the security guard but the armor saved him. I am sure some politician will bemoan the availability of armor emboldening future shooters, something about the gear of war or the like.
His manifesto details all his gear and better options. It's like he wanted to write for a magazine. He has a lot of links to you tube videos describing gear. That will get some accounts shut down.
No one will call this what it is. A scared, sad little boy that wanted attention.
This incident will probably be labeled "domestic terrorism" and go to a federal trial. The logistical result will be increased mass surveillance prescribed by law. The surveillance will probably be filtered by artificial intelligence enabled by quantum computing. The entire electromagnetic spectrum will be exploited. For example: my drivers license on my phone is now accepted as legal ID by some LE agencies in Colorado.

I don't think we're going to see many super public calls for anti gun stuff. Don't get me wrong, they'll do it, but it won't be the number 1 thing we see on TV for weeks like it's been when these things happen in the past. Nothing mobilizes the right like huge anti gun pushes. The left is mobilized by abortion stuff now, which has much of the right quietly keeping their heads down. The left isn't going to want to give the right much reason to poke their heads-up again.
PS - a CA church got shot up today too. I'm guessing that one won't get much press beyond today.
Shooter was known to law enforcement. There's a huge surprise. /SARC
Tired of the entire concept of "hate crime" designation. The crime is what it is. Government has no business trying to play God by 'peering into the criminal's soul' to divine their motivation.
Deal with what can be proven in this world. That's enough to remove threats from society (although that isn't done nearly as often as it should anymore).
[Chicago]less-than-average weekend[\Chicago]
Agreed. The last thing in the world the Democrats want these days is for anyone to mention gun control. They know they're in for an ass kicking in November because if Biden, inflation, gas prices, etc. Throwing gun control into the mix would do nothing but guarantee that in the close districts the pro gun voters would come out of the woodwork and vote against democrats.
Might see some changes at the state level, given that New York is pretty much a democrat-controlled state. But then again, they already have pretty strict gun control laws in NY so it's hard to say what they could do that they haven't already done.
EDITED TO ADD: 23 years after Columbine, with VA Tech, Sandy Hook, Las Vegas, the Pulse Nightclub, etc in the rear view, I think the political impact of a mass shooting is almost zero now. All it's going to do is reinforce whatever positions people already had. If they're anti gun, this isn't going to make them MORE anti gun and if they're pro gun, it isn't going to make them MORE pro gun.
People have already chosen sides and a mass killing isn't going to make them change.
Continuing my thought from above, it's kind of like the suicide bombings in the Intifada in Israel starting in the mid 1990's. The first few were spectacular and had all kinds of media attention, people talking about them, etc. They were front page news for days, even here in the US.
But after 15 or 20 or more, the "shock value" wore off and it was like "meh, another suicide bombing."
Humans can get used to a lot of awful things. Think about the stuff that happened during WWII: Entire blocks being burned up by incendiary bombs, V1 cruise missiles and V2 ballistic missiles hitting London on a daily basis. After the first few, the shock value wore off and it just became another thing to endure. I think the same thing is happening with these "mass shootings." The shock value is wearing off. By next month most people will have forgotten about this.
Probably correct.
The anti-gun crowd will have another incident to add to their count.
The "white supremacist" fear mongers will have one as well. The left blames the right, despite the asshole stating he is a leftist. The right just hides, never correctly pointing out choosing mass murder as a political statement is a mental health issue and no public policy can legislate away crazy.
Politicians calling for internet censorship have another arrow in their quiver. That is the one that that is most likely to affect everyone.
The link Rooski posted to the manifesto no longer works. So now you have to rely on others interpretations of it.
He's been planning in open on Discord since March? And they found all the posts within hours of the act but DIDN'T have him under active surveillance and stop him the moment he started moving?
Something smells.
Who would you suggest takes that action? Local, state, federal? Or perhaps a whole new branch of government, tasked with following Internet trolls around in case they act in an illegal manner? And where is that funding coming from?
We would need to live in a police state if everyone thats posts nonsensical garbage on the Internet would be placed under active surveillance.
I find it curious how they had so much information on him within such a short period of time; even stuff he posted using aliases - all before the police executed a warrant of his home.
Just curious.
My point was that they apaprently already had him under active surveillance since they knew about him for months and knew he had posted plans on Discord -- whoever "they" is. I'd rather not have as much surveillance as we do in society today but if they DO have that kind of surveillance, they need to use it. This smells like Obama's "Fast and Furious" campaign -- knowingly creating a situation or letting it happen to create maximum publicity and sway public opinion toward the extremist measures they want to take anyway.
OSINT in 2022 is cheap and easy and doesn't require any kind of warrants. In fact it's some peoples morbid hobby, others a profession, even a business model for companies. Kids post everything from their breakfast to their psychotic aspirations online. Their digital op-sec sucks, because they generally want attention. Post shit online and it will be found.
There is tons of information on the LV shooter (reports, articles, documentaries, podcasts, interviews, legal docs). If you are morbid enough to want to find it. Nobody is hiding this. If you are looking, you can find it.
These people are psychos. Trying to figure out what their motivation is dumb, especially when the are kids. Everything is not a politics thing. Even if a mass shooter wrote a manifesto proclaiming it was "all political", it's not. Because they are fucking crazy murderers. First and foremost.
I grew up with a punk-rock kid that became a skinhead. He didn't grow up a racist white supremacist. We was a follower, a wanna-be and wanted friends. He put on a flight jacket, docs and started hanging out with shit people. He ended up murdered. Did he end up dying a white supremacist skinhead? Sure did.
OK so for those of you saying "the timing is suspicious" or "doesn't make sense" or whatever, you all seem to be hinting at something you won't come right out and say so let me ask you point blank: What DO you think happened?
Do you think that this was a "false flag" operation organized by anti gun leftists, communists, democrats, etc? For what purpose?
Do you think it didn't actually happen and that all the people are "crisis actors" a la Alex Jones?
Do you think it was a secret government operation? Designed to do what? And again, for what purpose?
Seriously, why is it so hard to believe that an angry asshole with a chip on his shoulder and a gun killed a bunch of people? We've seen this exact template over and over again for the past 50 years or so.
Found this on twitter. I probably saw it due to cookies. There always is going to be someone that wants to ruin it for everybody else. And POTUS showing up to the scene when he should be concentrating on Ukraine, COVID, inflation, etc...

None of the above.
The feds have a long history of egging crazy people on through the use of informants, etc. They do this to create wins for themselves. Sometimes they do it to create a problem to prove to the world the problem does in fact exist. Sometimes they egg them on far enough that they can then arrest them...IF their communication is good enough to make that stop before they follow-thru.
I wonder how many times the feds egg someone on who then slips by and does what the feds egged them on to do. The feds are NEVER going to say "oops! We egged this guy on, he went dark and committed murder before we could stop him". It's much more likely that if that happens the feds will say "man, we had no idea this guy was out there. We're as surprised as you!"
I usually just post this in response:
Number of Black people killed by LEOs in 2019: 173
Number of White people killed by LEOs in 2019: 430
https://webappa.cdc.gov/sasweb/ncipc/mortrate.html
Number of Black people arrested in 2019: 1,815,144
Number of white people arrested in 2019: 4,729,290
https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s...ables/table-43
Survival rate, Blacks: 99.99%
Survival rate, whites: 99.99%
I can't buy into the conspiracy bullshit.
Too many people can't keep secrets. We see it everyday with leaks and unnamed sources. If there was a mysterious cabal in the government doing these things, there isn't one one person that would let it slip or feel guilt and leak it?
This is exactly what it looks like. A mixed up kid with mental issues that immersed himself in dark images and decided to act on his "beliefs".

Now if he would have used an AR with a brace (in light of the new ATF brace ruling coming out in the next few months), I would be more concerned of a conspiracy.
