How many laws does Canada already have restricting firearm ownership?
I'm curious because of the thousands we have many are selectively followed and/or enforced. The more laws that are passed, the higher I see the noncompliance. Not so much out of a sense of self preservation/protection, righteousness, or even patriotism, just simply because there are so many laws people no longer pay attention. As has been stated, criminals don't follow the law. Once everyone has been criminalized to a degree, the stigma dissipates accordingly. What we are dealing with, to no small degree, is a disconnect between the lawmakers and their constituents.
