Mass Twitter layoffs

I know most on here don't do Twitter, but I for one am loving the meltdown. Quick recap, Elon Musk recently purchased Twitter, and effective today is firing something like half the company (~3.7k individuals is the number floating around).

The best thing about the whole sale is Potato's people getting fact checked over the Social Security pay increase and having to delete their own tweet.

I'd like to see him move the company to Rock Springs, Wyoming as a big FU to the silicon valley establishment and the various California governments.

3 months severance. That's how you clean house quickly so they can't f things up in the meantime.

Someone should have him do the same with the fed gov.

There is the provision in the law for what is called an "unconscionable contract". That means the company policy is illegal. Elon does not make his own laws. I'd be real careful how you terminate an employee.

They knew months ago their jobs were on the line. Hmm, they are considered still employees - so they just have received an extended vacation and the required 60 day notification of major layoff requirements.
