Two postings and no one showed compassion for the loss of life, those injured, and the families that will be impacted forever.

As Men is normal to not have as much empathy or emotions for someone/something you are not in any way connected to. Distant events = distant feelings, also the ages of the people involved likely dampen the impact of all of this. I for one expect violence at large gatherings, parties, and holidays, of course not all do. It is sad the way those people died. People that chose to publicly express their grief are often looking to call attention to themselves. Whether it is virtue signalling or attempting to advance a cause, their motivations can be suspect.
It calls to mind the North Koreans that openly wail with unrelenting grief when they visit Kumsusan Memorial Palace where Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il lie perpetually in state.
Those that express the deepest lament are judged to be the most loyal citizens.
When Chuck Schumer jumps on Twitter to immediately denounce the L.A. murders as a hate crime and call for gun bans, he is seen as the most strident defender of democracy. At least in his mind and those that follow such dogma.

I had no idea we have already had over 26 ?mass shootings? this year. I think I might have heard about two of them.
Define "mass shooting". 2, 3, 4 people shot? That happens daily in Chicago. Then consider St Louis, Baltimore, Detroit, Seattle, Houston, Albuquerque, etc.Quote:
