The 39th president has decided to forgo further medical treatment and will "spend his remaining time at home with his family," the Carter Center announced.
It will be interesting to see what is written about him in the next few days and weeks.
He is often thought to be the least effective president of the 20th century. Time and impending death tend to soften peoples perspectives.
True...and how different from today: time and impending death while *IN* office. From a human perspective, kinda sad that Biden will never have that softening. It'll be fresh in everyone's mind how horrible a president he was.Quote:

I heard there was a 'presence' when he was in the room (not the Depends). Someone compared it to Muhammad Ali, Dali Lama and others, just an Aura I guess.
He seems like a good guy, maybe too weak for the Presidency.
Maybe....100% for sure. Just about every one of our potential enemies is Fing with us in some way.

Jimmy Carter was a dichotomy... one of the greatest men ever to hold the Presidency, while proving perhaps the worst POTUS in History. Seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time micromanaging White House staff, and even attempted to redesign the sprinkler system for the lawn. Always saw the best in people and was honest to a fault... but you cannot approach our nation's sworn enemies with that mindset... arguably a weaker President than Biden, and that says a lot.
