They are a terrible idea for a vehicle, but hopefully people can figure that out for themselves.

But councilwoman Hannah Gay Keao ran and was elected as a gun sense candidate. I thought Edgewater was safe from evil white supremacists and their weapons of war?
I guess there is more work to be done.
Gay Keao, who was heavily supported financially by several anti-gun groups, ran as ?gun sense candidate,? which included signing a pledge for Everytown for Gun Safety that said if elected she would ?govern with gun safety in mind.?
She has taken that pledge seriously. Gay Keao also has been helping a coordinated effort to push gun rights restrictions across numerous Front Range local governments.
"Overwhelmingly, mass shootings are perpetrated by individuals who are motived by a far-right ideology and white supremacy,..."
Hannah Gay Keao not only helped write and edit a presentation given by the Colorado Ceasefire gun control group at an April 5 city council meeting, but also instructs others on what to say during testimony for both the April 5 meeting and a subsequent April 19 meeting to discuss a laundry-list of potential ordinances targeting gun owners.
She has been a constant bigoted and irrational thorn in the sides of many upstanding Edgewater residents.
I fully support genocide amongst Tesla drivers and Prius drivers.
Wonder if Hannah would use a gun to defend her Tesla or her self?
If you're unarmed, you are a victim.
Honestly, I've been utterly shocked by how many times I've seen a Tesla roadraging.
"Sir, you are driving an $80,000 electric sports car and I'm driving a 40 year old solid steel shitbox with reinforced bumpers... your aggression is very entertaining to me."
Why are they so angry? Do you suppose it's because they spent so much money for a car that they thought was "free to drive" only to find out the cost of charging them can sometimes cost more than gasoline?
So he got charged after all?
[Coffee]
Assault and battery?
Some people are wired differently.
I heard teslas are worse for the environment than a regular gas car…
I guess it comes as no surprise that Tesla owners can afford expensive guns...

I'm unsure of what this is, maybe an M&P with a dot and compensator?
O2
I think this incident just shows that Tesla owners just aren?t very well grounded.
I want a Tesla in Bud Light blue. You can always eat the lithium.
I heard, I believe on KOA, that both parties were armed and the shooter called 911 after driving a short distance away and surrendered. It’ll be interesting to see what more information is released.
Anyone heard from the forum's tesla enthusiast?
Looks like a Springfield Hellcat RDP.
Where is our resident Tesla driver with all this Tesla talk!?!
I guess I'm being paged.
What would you like me to say? Just a bunch of "adults" behaving like adolescents who were told the boogie man is coming for their things and acting out illogically in all directions trying to mask their insecurities through false machismo & chest pounding. It's sad to witness. Grown ass men sitting around reveling in the lowest forms of tribalism and echoing urban legends that aren't based in facts due to some sort of perceived threat to their freedom & way of life. All because of what? A mode of transportation that another adult chose based on their needs or wants. That's the perceived threat to your very existence that must be met with genocide?
As I read through these posts, I shake my head at how loudly ignorant humans can be. Speaking on subjects they know precious little about, clearly. What they think they know coming from untrustworthy sources (sources that simply confirm their biases w/o any consideration of actual facts) which they then regurgitate to each others in some odd idiot ritual that they derive comfort from because "they took er jerbs!" or some such shit. I guess I'm just too intelligent & comfortable with myself to truly appreciate the simplicity of a good bigotry party by those who also claim to be the most persecuted group today. All of this in an effort to sleep soundly at night knowing they're "right" rather than caring about actually getting it right because what they discover could shake the very foundation of all they know to be true if but one belief is successfully challenged.
Is that what you're looking for?
I mean seriously, this group of ALL groups letting the bad actions of a single person reflect upon the entire group is rich. We still don't know if it was justified self defense (or any other details for that matter) but he's a Tesla driver so he automatically surrenders his "innocent until proven guilty" card, right? Not even an American... save for the car that's engineered in America, made in America by American hands and runs on American energy. Filthy Kommie!
For those wondering why this forum has become a ghost town in recent years, you need not look further than the knuckle-dragging room temperature IQ posts of this thread. It's an embarrassment and makes it easy to see why the political tides are shifting heavily against the rights for the members of this group. Y'all make it awfully hard to convince people on the left that we're not all idiots with an attitude & a chip on our shoulder and most of us are contributing honest members of society who are intelligent plus possess higher-than-average common sense and want nothing but freedom and the safety of all.
Hey, Jer?.
On a less serious note, if you and I were fighting over a charging station and I ended up on the receiving end of some projectiles, what sort of platform would those projectiles be launched from?
Inquiring minds want to know what sort of defensive devices a Tesla owner prefers.
Jer. It was a joke. The intent was to point out the absurdity of blaming an object for a person?s behavior. You know - satire. Or maybe you don?t, in which case my post is an example.
?satire: the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people?s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics, and other topical issues.? - Oxford Dictionary
I still think it would be cool to have a Tesla and charge it from a big solar panel in my back yard. An electric HMMV would be even cooler. Maybe even an alien Bud Light sticker and a personalized licence plate that reads "AREA51"...
Not sure if serious based on the emoticon but, if so, we have owned many in the past and currently have three:
2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range, blue on white
2017 Tesla Model S P100D w/Ludicrous (0-60mph in 2.21 seconds), silver on white
2016.5 Tesla Model S P90D w/Ludicrous, red on beige
These cars are truly amazing. The Model Y is the slowest vehicle Tesla makes currently and it will still run circles around anything gas-powered you've driven and does so far more reliably and inexpensively in terms of energy source and maintenance.
I, too, thought they were bad news bears based on all the BS you hear echoed (especially in these types of circles most on this forum tend to associate with) but the reality is that almost none of it is true. The ultra-negative view of Tesla as a brand by a small percentage of the populace is tiring and comes largely from a place of simply not understanding the truth and taking the BS as fact.
I've offered it here before: I'm happy to meet anyone in person who would like to see one in person and go for a ride and answer any and all questions you have 100% honestly, for better or worse. I'm not a salesman for Tesla nor do I have an agenda. I won't sugar coat any of the negative and will offer up everything for you to be able to make an informed opinion on the topic. Hint: very little of anything you read on forums like this are accurate to reality as it applies to this topic.
I've done quite a few deep dives over the years on all things EV so I'm happy to offer up any knowledge I've gained to those who are genuinely interested and open to discussing. What I've grown utterly bored with is people on forums like this who just say hot button items to seem like they know what they're talking about on a topic w/o actually knowing anything and then refusing to accept any info that goes against that, regardless of how factual it is. This one-way discourse is something I no longer have the time for in life. If someone wants to live in a bubble of misinformation and has no desire to learn anything new then I wish them well but I don't have the patience for those meaningless conversations. I have no interest in contributing to someone's echo chamber of ignorance that serves only to confirm their inaccurate assumptions with zero desire to level-up their knowledge of a topic.
I will however talk for hours to someone who wants to have a civil 2-way conversation from a place of genuinely wanting to know from someone who has been through it first hand that's happy to answer all questions. Happy to spread the word of our lord and savior Elon Musk. ROFL
I?m holding out for one of the hydrogen powered Toyotas.
Ludicrous is ulltra fast mode. Ballistic kevlar body and bullet proof glass would definitely be a wanted option here in Pueblo.
