Does anyone have a lawyer/attorney they can recommend that specializes in unpaid wages for employees?
I'm up against my employer not wanting to do good in paying some of my commissions and me trying to be nice about it isn't bringing much progress [Mad]
Try a written demand using this state website as a guide. I think the law is on your side and the state prosecutes. Lawyers will want a cut. I am not a lawyer.

Understand that, in the end, you'll likely get what they owe you - and it'll likely be your last paycheck from them.
Good point. Either way, an official written demand letter is probably needed and they have to respond within 14 days. Unfortunately, if they don't, I'll probably have to use legal representation as the amount owed is well above the $7500 - the Co. Dept. Of Labor won't investigate amounts above thatQuote:

I did not file anything. It just happened. I guess the .gov loses tax money if you are not paid.
If you can prove that money is owed to you, most Labor attorneys will take that case for free, tack on punitive damages (X3), then take 40%. It's a slam dunk in this state.
