5.11 PUSH Pack "Man Purse"

So after several day trips to the hills and other locations not close to home, I realized there was a niche that needed to be filled, and my large backpack was a bit overkill for 90% of my outings. I looked at several of the Maxpedition variations, and while they were all very nice looking, they were quite a bit more than I wanted to spend. I had seen the 5.11 PUSH Pack a couple times online, and liked the looks of it, and the price was significantly cheaper than the similar Maxpedition versions, so I ordered one directly from 5.11.
I received the Pack within a couple days and am very impressed with it thus far. I took it with me shooting today, and it proved to be VERY convenient in that role. The Pack holds a suprisingly large quantity of stuff, and the pockets are very nicely laid out. I've loaded mine with the following items.

- Glock 19 x2 spare mags (can fit more mags if necessary)
- Solarforce 300 lumen LED Flashlight
- Small pair of Binoculars
- Modified USMC IFAK
- Compass
- Rain Poncho
- Gerber Multi-tool
- Glow sticks
- Lighter
- Pocket Knife
- hand sanitizer
- couple carabiners
- paracord
- Mirror

There is still room for plenty more, including two pouches for water bottles (will fit 2 32oz nalgene bottles). I could add a few protein bars and various snacks, and I would feel confident being stranded out in the wilderness for a couple days with this pack and the items I have inside. I plan to take it with me pretty much anytime I travel more than a few miles from home, or for extended amounts of time. So for anyone considering adding a "Man Purse" style bag to your collection, I HIGHLY recommend the 5.11 PUSH Pack. I tried to get some pics of the Pack and my setup, but the lighting this evening wasn't quite good enough for my Cell phone camera. Seriously though, I hae much of the same problem when planning very short trips through the wilderness, My large pack is a bit overkill. What is the USMC ITAK and is your poncho the military style. Is there room for that and a poncho liner?

The IFAK is an Individual First Aid Kit, comes with just about everything you would need in most situations, i've added a couple things to it. The poncho is just a cheap trash bag type from Wally World, nothing fancy as that would take up too much room, but it would keep you dry.

Nice!! I've been looking at the Maxpeditions, but I thought they were a bit more than I wanted too. This, on the other hand, is nearly perfect...

No LOL, if it did my GF would be all over it. It does come in Red though, as an EMS style bag.

I picked one up at Sportsmen's Warehouse a few weeks ago and if it was not for the crappy cold weather I would be using it alot more outdoors!
I stuff the usual stuff, spare mags, chem-lights, alot of first aid stuff. Glock field knife clips on real nice, bottle of water. Whatever I might need..even snacks for the boy!!
It does hold alot and I think these will be HOT come this Springs season!!!!

Agreed! Once warmer weather comes around, and my outdoor activity picks up, mine will be going with me everywhere.

I used this for my bug-out bag in Iraq. IFAC and extra mags and batteries and then some.

I'm looking seriously at one as well. I'm planning a bike trip with my 13 yd old son this summer and think it would be real handy for getting on and off the bike and still keep the things you want ready at hand, but dont want to leave on the bike at a rest stop etc.

The back compartment seems to have Glock 20 wrote alllll over it.

My "Man Purse which is all the rage in Europe" always has a Glock or XD laying in wait.
Hope to see more out the this year, now if they would stop making fun of my 5.11 "Fishing Vest"!
