he's using a bang stick. The back of the bus was rigged for that demonstration. The guy with the bang stick kneels down during the shot and popps up in the smoke.
you can actually see the guy lay down and he sits up behind the piece of metal and then if you keep watching he walks away.
i would love to do that ONE time, only if it was on tape, and of course survive.

Actually, this was their reenactment of the scene in Saving Private Ryan where they use the sticky bomb on the tank.
It looked like to me, that the guy kept running after using the stick and got blown to the right forward of the bus. Because some guy out there gets up off his knees after the smoke clears but he is quite a few feet away from where he threw the stick.
It took me a few times watching the video to see the guy duck down, then pop up and draw his firearm. My man sense kept making my eyes watch the stick and the explosion. I had to meditate for 6 minutes, then watch the video again and force myself to watch the guy instead of the explosion.
That's training? Not many graduates I'm guessing.
Yes folks, the Russians don't mess around. If it were for real then most likely everyone in the bus would get shot, at least once, and they would sort them out at the hospital. Remember the hostage situation at the theater a few years ago with the Georgian Rebels? They used nerve gas on everyone and sorted them out while collecting the bodies.
I guess that is why there is not many successful terrorists attacks in Russia.

I watched it a few more times and paused and played quickly. I am fairly certain the guy getting up on his knees from the front door is NOT the bomb guy. They guy getting up on his knees is wearing a soft hat where the bomb guy is wearing a helmet. The guy about 5 yards to the right of the video getting up from his knees is wearing a helmet. Pretty sure that is the bomb guy.

You can tell the guy dropped to the ground and rolled during the explosion. He gets up pretty much right away and turns and draws. I think we're looking at the same guy.
Russia is VERY proactive in their response to ANY possible hostage or active shooter event after the event at Beslan. They have dedicated QRF units just for this purpose who are very unbiased when it comes to shooting. They are of the opinion that saving even 1 person is better than losing all of them. Israel is not that far behind with armed guards on every schoolbus.Quote:

Explosive is not meant to kill everyone inside the buss. It looks like it is gonna blow the bus into small pieces, but it is really not that bad if you have proper protective equipment.
You should note, that the guy with the stick has a long gun, which he takes and points to the bus after explosion.
Btw; who knows what firearm there is at 1:10 ? ;)
