Anyone out there shooting these with a ACE stock and how does it work for you? Anyone got any good sources of AMMO? Are there any local shops selling?

You might want to hit up Hannu, He saw a lot on these in Finnland, Lots of people bought them for moose hunting.
I am thinking of buying this:

my buddy has one with a magpul obr stock its awesome i love blowing stuff up with that thing and AA is the best place to get ammo you better start reloading if you buy one tho
Sorry, I said not that great in that last comment, I meant to say poor.
it was not created as a sniper rifle it was meant to stop cars it works great for hog hunting also
Try going over to: the458socom.com, there are some postings for Beowulf ammo.
Thanks guys.... Waiting for delivery ... Ammo was a buck a round.
I will post up when I get it pinned to a lower

Try getting .458 SOCOM ammo, $2+ a round. [Mad]
Yes there is, you just have to look a little bit. Plenty of bullet types and weights, dies are sometimes out of stock, and brass can be found from star line brass.
Yep, saw some Beowulf at the gun show this past weekend. Not sure on the weight of the bullet, but it looked like a Hornady XTP style of round. The guy was asking $170 for 50 rounds. I about crapped down both legs when I saw that price [Shock]
I use the ACE Socom on my .223 AR and love it. Not sure how it would perform with the Beowulf round, but I would expect it to hold up just fine. Best of luck.
I had one of these baby monsters when they first came out. They really knock the crap out of feral hogs. The cool thing is you can buy plated bullets for reloading

But the most versatile bullets are the Rainier Ballistics offerings 275gr-400gr
I sold the gun because it dawned on me that a shotgun could do the same thing if not better with custom cast slugs for a hell of a lot less $$$.
But a .50 hole in a Ar15 barrel is something kinda neat.
