Don't worry, it will get a lot easier when you get there.
Don't let your guard down. Good luck and thanks.
Good Luck and God Bless

Keep in touch as much as you can Ryan.. Good luck..
Good Luck & God Bless Bro !!!
Oh, I decided not to enlist guys. I'm actually working for a defense contractor. $85,000 a year is really nice....
God Bless and safe returns brother.
Be safe, bring us back some stories.
When you get over there, take out some trash for me.
See you there in a few months.
I would like to be going with you! Be safe!!!
Take care!
Post from time to time. Be safe!
Keep your head down, good luck, and get back here in one piece.
God bless brother. Come back safe
Be safe, thanks for going, get some, and bring me back a AK!
Stay safe and good luck.

I echo the sentiments everyone else has expressed. We want you back here safe and sound when your time is up.
It doesn't matter if you are serving in uniform or serving as a contractor, in the end, you're still serving!
Don't be thin skinned though..... While I was active duty, we used to have all sorts of great nicknames for contractors. You WILL be a target of this - but it's all in good fun and humor. Now, I am a scum-sucking contractor, but at least I'm earning a real paycheck for once.
Due to security reasons and confidentiality agreements, I cannot tell you who I work for, but I can tell you I'm a heavy equipment mechanic, and I will be in Balad, Iraq.
You think I have alot of guns now, just wait till I come back with a giant bank account hehehehehehe...
I can drive backhoes, Cats, bobcats, tractors, forklifts, and other farm/construction heavy machinery... Do they need some more folks? I could use a giant bank account! lol...
Not sure how my wife would feel about that.
I sent you a PM
Best of luck over there! Be safe!
Keep your head down, be safe and and bring us all an AK Oh and like someone else said, take out the trash.
Had a friend go over after the first Gulf War, was there all of 3 weeks and they sent them all back, also heavy equipment stuff. Be careful they had to live in a prison type compound, he said he was glad they got cancelled.
Good Luck...
Oh dude, it's nothing like that. YOu wouldn't beleive what my accomodations look like. I have my own container with bed, desk, and bathroom. Joint base Balad is like a college campus with dirt on the ground. There's Subway, pizza hut, Taco Bell, etc.. and MWR full workout facility, a huge Indoor pool, Internet service,...trust me, there isn't much suffering to be had.

You have to work 7 12's with no days off, but the pay is awsome.
Take Luck....God Bless!
What a cluster fuck. I'm gonna be stuck in dubai for at least a couple more days, cause the iraqis are being stingy asswipes with their airspace and not allowing any charter flights into baghdad. Now I probably have to take a commercial flight out of Bahrain or Abu Dhabi.
What fun times. On the upside, Dubai is a kick ass city. Its really nice here, lots of stuff to do.
