Collector car transport???

I am trying to figure out out to move a collector show car from Alamosa to Franktown. Does anyone have on know anyone willing to rent or move themselves a car with a trailer enclosed or open? Willing to pay $$$. I tried calling some auto transport companies and almost all of them just do moves from one state to another. I know U-haul rents car trailers but all of them used chains and not nylon straps (yes this is a show car so underneath is custom painted also). Ideally I wish I could find someone with an enclosed car trailer but at this point I am just trying to figure out how to get a show car that isn't driven a whole lot back from Alamosa. Any help or leads would be appreciated

People may be hesitant about transporting some else's property for money because there is a chance that their insurance might not cover damages caused by the trailer.

There will be no coverage by the driver/owner of the trailer for any of the contents IN the trailer though. Just so you know.

I realize and understand that and would take my chances and not hold them responsible. I am not asking them to just go get the car and deliver it. I would be going with and would help out in the hole process. I just don't want to drive a show car that is not driven a whole lot the 200 miles back to my house. I just don't want to break down and have a collector car sitting on the side of the road while I figure out what to do with it.

What is it? Does it go fast? Burn the tires and do all kinds of good stuff? I'll drive it back for ya!

That's what I figured, just wanted to point it out in the case you hadn't considered it (though I assumed that you had). Good luck sir.

And I would drive it too but it is a show car and not driven a whole lot and I do NOT want it to break down on I-25 and have a show car just sitting on the side of the road.

If you can't find anyone let me know, I have a 18 ft dovetail car hauler for my racecar. It's not enclosed but it will move a car. I've used the UHaul ones, they have web straps over the front tires, and you have to use your own straps on the back... well the ones I used did. Weekends are about the only time i'm free... if I'm free.

Let me see what turns up. I have this thread going and one on colorado4x4.org. If I can find a good local transport company I might go that route. The guy who owns the car told me he would take the cost of moving it off the price of the car but he ad so I just need to see how this all pans out.

Bruce needs a time frame for moving it he has a trailer full that has to be unloaded.
