Looks awesome ... too bad I haven't had a computer capable of keeping up with new games in many years :(
I'm conditionally boycotting Steam. I bought (they sold me) a game with known problems and wouldn't refund my money. $10. I even told them I'd take "Steam credit" and put it towards a different game. Customer service is everything to me when dealing with people you're giving or have given your money to.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the game and there's a sound bug in it when playing multiplayer. It makes the game unplayable unless you want to mute it.
If there's a crazy good deal on Steam on an older game then I'll get it there. If it's a newer game and the same price all over I'll get it at a store and deal with taking care of the disc and updating it myself.
Sorry to get off topic. MoH 2010 is going to be the shiz!!! If anyone ends up getting it we should try to hook up in game and own some people. E-thug all the way.
I had no idea it was going to be contemporary. And now I do know, October seems such a long time away.
Definitely, I have a new GTX 460 that needs to be challenged.
I tell ya, I wouldn't want to piss off the guy on the cover art.
I just hope the new MoH doesn't turn into another CoD knockoff... I'll plan on puchasing though.
MoH gets released tomorrow.
@BigBear - Did you get to play the Beta at all? It was pretty cool looking and had some decent gameplay but it's totally a CoD knock off IMO. The other thing that I was not impressed with was the complete lack of destructability of structures or other various items. Hopefully that was just something with the Beta and the true release will be better. Destructability is one of the main things that sets BF BC2 apart from any other game out right now. It makes it way more realistic. I'd be amazed if EA dropped the ball on that. Well, not that amazed I guess.
A ton of people seemed to just want to sit back, snipe, and not worry about the objectives. Go figure.
I'm really hoping this game isn't a fail.
I won't pick it up right away, I'll wait a month or two and get some reviews.
I like BFBC2, but I must be honest and say that BF2 is still my favorite.
Yeah, I don't like the folks that just sit back and snipe and don't help out the team at all either. Can't win by ignoring the objectives and just sniping...
Wow. How incredibly disappointing this game is. It can be kinda fun I guess but it's far away from being great and there's nothing really original in it. This may as well be an expansion pack to COD4 or MW2. What a FAIL!!! Oh well. Hopefully EA doesn't F up BF3.
My opinion to anyone wanting to try this game is to do precisely that. Try it before you buy it. And then you'll save yourself some money.
I picked it up at the midnight release (uber nerd here) and have put a few hours in on the online gameplay. It is definitely a BFBC2 knockoff, and even feels the same to me. I only bought this to hold me over until Nov. 9th when Black Ops releases.
I was up till 0300 this morning going through the campaign at my buddies house, all I can say is epic, although it was a little shorter than I anticipated. Audio is way better than COD, and it is all around more realistic IMHO. And you get to drop large quantities of BG's with an M14 EBR, which behind liquor and sexual intercourse, could be the greatest invention of all time. Plus at the end they have a huge tribute to service men and women, which I thought was cool. If you got the extra scratch and time laying around, I highly recommend picking it up.
And finally the M14/M21 EBR has a 20 round magazine. I thought the campaign is pretty cool, for what little I've played so far.
Few things suck worse than looking forward to a new game then having it suck.
Went thru that with Civ 5.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll save my dough and stick to bad company.
No problem. But remember, that's just my $.02. Hitman thinks this game is the best thing next to sliced bread so you may like it. I will say that the single player campaign is pretty neat but a lot of people are saying it's way too short. I haven't finished it yet myself. Taking bad guys out with a M14 is pretty damn fun. The graphics and sound are way better that COD4 but the multi-player gameplay is very similar. If they made it more like BC2 gameplay I would appreciate it a lot more.
I'm waiting for COD Black Ops for some good 'Zombie' action.
Hope it delivers !!!!
Thanks for the info on MOH 2010, might rent it first.
So what i'm getting from this post is I need to check out BF2.....
(Yeah, I'm way behind on video games. I just finished Fallout 3, and am playing borderwars now....)
You are way behind because BF2 is an OLD game too! HAHA.
Yeah, well you guys are just missing out on the true value and depth of the Atari 2600's library of games. With your crazy "Nintendos" and "Sega Master Systems". Dammit, a vidja game bullet is supposed to be SQUARE!
Actually I just tend to buy a single game at a time, play it till I beat it, and then switch to another game I've heard is good. I just don't have a lot of free time anymore so I get further and further behind.
On the bright side, it's cheaper. The only games I've spent more then 30 bucks on have been MW2 and Mafia 2. [ROFL2]
Rgr, the "level ups/unlocks" on BF2 take such a ridiculously long time to get (like 400hrs in armor vehicle, etc) that I still haven't "beat" it, lol.
Plus, I took a hiatus when I didn't have a computer and now that I'm married don't have a lot of time either. But I'd rather spend time with the wife than a machine any time.
Grab up Batman: Arkham Asylum if you ever see it for cheap. It's a decently fun game.
Check out some of these videos of the buildings collapsing in BF Bad Company 2. Very sweet. Sets this game apart from a lot of others IMHO.
Finished SP the night I got the game. Shed a manly tear at the ending.
Quite a few references to the events in Marcus Luttrell's Lone Survivor
Waiting on Black Ops and the zombie madness as well. Few guys from work and I try to get our culling of the herd on a few times per week. Maps have been coming out slower for WaW so glad BO is just around the corner.
Just got Dead Rising 2, meh wears on me after about 10 minutes (always good to relieve some stress by hitting a zombie with a spiked bat though).
Does dead rising 2 have the same constant clock that dead rising 1 had? That just annoyed me to no end.
Also, what is SP?
Just got Medal of Honor, Highly recommend.
