Do you see any of the hystaria about gun hording and firing people to pay the future taxes coming this time around? Did the tea party's have the desired effect or should they come back for the second wave in 2012?
Thoughts, comments, snide remarks?

The first two, Eh, not much, other than the standard known tinfoil types.
Personally, more worried about the taxes than having to hord the guns at this point.
I figure if the so called "rich" are having to pay higher taxes after the tax cuts expire, They are not going to have any money to employ me in building stuff.
As far as the tea party goes, Hate to say it, what they need to do within the next two years is, a bloodless coup in the republican party before they can really garner any "street cred".
A real kick in the nuts. Welcome to Liberado.
Nothing with gun law is gonna change, there are bigger fishes to fry up... my .02
I think no on the first one (gun hoarding) and it is too early to tell on the second one (firing people). The second one depends on the impacts to small business of obamacare and additional taxation by the looper. If I owned my own business I would be cutting back on employees. If I was a wealthy business owner I'd close shop and move to a better state or retire.
Time will tell about the Tea Party but I don't think they mattered too much in the end here in Colorado. There are too many people in this state who think they are entitled to things they didn't earn and these kinds of people tend to congregate and overwhelm the system. We witnessed this behavior on a national level and now it is here in our face at the state level.
I think we'll see in increase in crime, especially by illegal aliens. Illegals now have a HUGE incentive to come here to Colorado and the democrats of Colorado deserve to suffer for their inaction.
This!!!!!
I swear.....there are more mucking forons than I thought! Dont come crying to me when our state goes down the ritter, er, I mean looper[ROFL1]
Oh.....and Dan maes? YOUR A DOUCHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he woulda dropped out the tank may have stood a chance. Also, it looks as if Buck is gonna loose as well, FUCK IT I am planning a fishing trip to Alaska anyways, perhaps I should just stay lol, no illegal aliens up there in the wilds of Denali, just bears, but they wont steal as much from ya![ROFL3]
Oh well guys lets just make the most of it....for now........[M2]
I really think this is Colorado's last chance and it will probably be squandered. As long as illegals and their legal offspring, dems from the east, and dems from failifornia keep flocking here it's just going to get shittier and shittier. Unless the right can put forward some real, moderate, likable candidates next time around this state may become hard to reclaim.
Also, did anyone see Ritter on FOX? He said himself that they already gave Hick a roadmap for what to do when he gets in office [Help]
We Are Screwed
With no lube.........
"I have a bad feeling about this"
RobertH- eloquently put.....
What gets me is the Republican tidal surge just washed around Colorado. Why?
I think the impact of the recession has not been as prevalent here as in other states and I think that had an effect. I looked at 9 News election map by county and the entire central swath of the state voted Dem.
Colorado has now become a bastion of Liberalism.
I know Tancredo was not perfect but at least I feel he is honest and has the best interest of the state in mind.
Thank You Colorado voters!
We now have Howdy fuckin Doody for a Governor.
You have elected a Governor who shall surely put the best interest of Washington and the Party ahead of the citizens of the state.
You have now assured that we have a far left Liberal that will embrace Illegal Immigration, Gays, Green and the Obama agenda.
He despises public employees and if you thought the "Fee's" imposed by Ritter were fun...
Will our states Constitution mean anything to him?
We now have a direct shit chute to Washington and you know both the Looper and Bennet will get on their knees and swallow the Boss's Flavor-Aid with gusto.
How much of this was pre-arrainged at the DNC?
As far as 2A issues under him- I know he has great contempt for "Shall Issue" and is a founding member of Bloombergs "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" campaign. I would not be the least bit surprised to see a state AWB ban similar to California's under Hicks reign.
CCW in lieu of CBI check for a retail purchase? Not with this Gubbenor!
The one that really killed me was 63. Apparently a majority of Coloradoans feel it is appropriate that the Federal Government MANDATES you purchase a product.
WTF?
Liberal Colorado you make me puke.
Wyoming or Kentucky are looking good about now for retirement........
The Dems set up a framework for victory here several years ago...
See this book:
The Blueprint: How the Democrats Won Colorado (and Why Republicans Everywhere Should Care)
Always with the negative waves....
Sounds like both state houses are going to go R. So, at least he won't have the complete green light that the critter did..
Hopefully, they can keep his hands tied for the four years..
You have to admit, politics aside, he is likeable. And, with the charlie foxtrot that the R's turned into, He could get away with running his cutesy commercials, and not have to worry about having to run an actual campaign...
I'll openly admit that I'm a fan of 'Looper. I think he's done a pretty good job with denver, and is a little more fiscally responsible than a lot of dems. For the most part, he was able to go his own way, even while running as a dem. Unfortunately, at the governor level, party will take more of a part. But frankly, both the repubs and dems are a mess and make me a bit nauseous, so either way, the world isn't going to change that much based on who is in there. Our country is broken, as has been for a LONG time. It isn't going to be fixed by just tossing some republicans in there. It's gonna take getting shit under control and making smart decisions, which again, hasn't happened for a long time.
The most important thing about this election season, and which I'm happy about, is that some of the balance nationally has been restored. I personally don't think any one party in power is a good idea, and goes against how I believe that a government should be run.
get ready to take it from fuck-in-pooper
you are cracked in the head if you think hickenlooper will get shit under control and make smart decisions.
colorado will become a sanctuary state, crime will go up, and taxes will go up to fight the crime and feed the squatters.
if he gets re-elected, during his second term he will start with the gun control .
denver turned into a shitole police state under his command and he will try to do the same thing to the rest of the state.
now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go to boulder and kneecap a hippie.
have a nice day.
Yup!! Colofornia it is!!
Not once did I say that he will get things under control. And sorry, if Tancredo would have won, he wouldn't have been able to get things under control either, ... Nor would putting republicans in control of everything. Our system is entirely too broken for that...
I think the fact that people believe that things will be better just because republicans are in control is ridiculous, same as it was in 08, when dems thought the world was gonna be saved because Obama was elected. Or that we're gonna go to shit just because we're going to have a dem as a governor... What we need is balance and both sides to work together IMO, because there has been so much bullshit bickering between both sides that nothing has gotten done... So with that, I'm glad that the GOP took one side nationally, because it restores some balance
But [Beer] , I'm not defending what I put because I don't feel I need to. I'm not a democrat btw if that's what you think, nor am I a republican. I respect your opinions even if i disagree.
And FWIW, I openly support kneecapping hippies, haha
On another note regarding the elections, I can't believe that it looks like Murkowski will win in Alaska on a write-in campaign...

i still think they should be removed from office. ALL OF THEM. ALL 545 of them.
remember this thread?

I don't think anybody should hoard guns. Of course, but more guns but that is usual.
It might be a good idea to hoard ammo & reloading supplies. I think the time to worry would be with Obama as a lame duck. I doubt if he'd go after guns directly but there's lots of other ways. Executive orders could shut down gun ranges because of pollution. They could put all sorts of restrictions on the storage & sale of ammo. Reloaders could be classified as having bomb making facilities.
Hopefully he'll be a lame duck two years from now but don't underestimate the Republicans. We could end up with an incompetent batshit candidate who'll throw the election to Obama. Just the way some key races were tossed to the Dems. Harry Reid! Aaargh!
Steve
Be optimistic. Eventually everyone you hate will die.
Lol. I know but I love those that help themselves and help others.
