Speaking as a newbie who sold, I was actively looking for a place to buy and sell. Craigslist is too frustrating, GunBroker and many of the other sites are just a pain to work with, and I personally couldn't ever get RMGO to work. I was doing searches for a state specific gun friendly classified site, and stumbled on CO AR-15. Seemed like a good site and didn't immediately didn't make my brain hurt like some forums do.
Joined up and have enjoyed my stay here.
So, all that to say: Could just be the site becoming more popular and it's starting to release some pent up demand. I sort of view this forum's trading area as like a gun show 10 years ago.... You know, when there were guns and accessories. Not ammo cans, $300 hi-points, & arts/crafts.

I cant vouch for any body else but i joined to trade. honestly i did not realize that folks get weirded out buy first post being a sale/trade or i personal would have gone through the site more . its because of my desire to trade that i found c.ar15 . honestly it took me a few to figure out that there was more to it than just gun adds .

I got turned on to this site from ar15.com and from a buddy who is a member here and there as well.
I like the free classifieds, how things are local so FTF deals are easy.
seems better mannered and more personal here which is nice.
I have met countless members off here and really enjoyed talking with them or shooting with them etc etc.
