Couldn't pick one so I'll list what I got. 4 USGI, 3 Thermolds, and 4 Orlites. Toss up between the USGI and Thermolds as to quality and reliability in my experence. The Orlites, well there still questionable.
mostly USGI, I do have two of those israli ones (I think they're orlites(?))
Only US GI and some Colt 20 rounders. I sold all my thermolds 'cause I couldn't get them to feed. The GI mags are still pretty available and they're all I'll use at this point.
Most are USGI but I have 6 or so that are those cheap ones you find at the gun shows (not USA mags.) and those thing function fine havent had a problem with any of them yet. I have been trying to function test all my USGI's but havent managed to do it yet. Most of what I take to the range are the cheap 10.00 mags I got from the show though.
Only USGIs at this point. Wouldn't mind trying Orlites, SA80s, or Thermolds, but haven't really run across any recently.

Other than that they are the same exact mag in all respects from the ones I've seen and handled.
I'm not saying how many mags a magaholic like me owns.
Uh uh no way.
I pretty much will use any AR mags 'cept the Orilites.
I have Colt and USGI from the 70's when I got my first AR. Karl.
Preban 20rd Colts with the alloy followers are USGI.
They were issued to our Armed Forces prior to around 1972.
While the Colt 30s never were OKay made them and other than the floorplates marked Colt the 30s are milspec.
fwiw, I had one feed problem last saturday, and that was with an orlite.
(strange, because I haven't had any problems with them in the past)
My usgi 20/30 rounders did as expected :D
Kool did not know that. :oops:Quote:

Here my friends website : www.jensafe.no
I got the one I have as an experiment, I guess just a little over a year ago, So far I've had no problems with it. Seem's as durable as my Thremold's anyway's. No problem's with fit or feeding.
Most are USGI's.
Let's see here...I've got something like 9 USGI 30 rdrs, 6 Thermold 30's and 4 USGI 20rd's - 2 Colt, (came with rifle), 1 Adventureline and 1 OKAY brand. I'm not a real mag-whore like some.
None of my Thermolds have ever caused me a bit of grief. I would rate them as highly as the USGI mags.
Most of mine are USGI's also, picked up a SA80 mag the otherday but haven't tried it out yet. Tucked way back in the mag locker is a box of 7 20 round mags unused & the box is dated 1967.
All P mags except the steel USGI type I got with my AR from Stag.
This seems like the second time in a week that a really old post was inexplicably brought up. On the other one I started reading before looking at the date and was shocked that Karl was back.
