Hope for better weather that week.
Hope and pray.. I gotta shoot this AR. It's just not right to have a brand new bushy since Sept and not shoot it!
Hey, we all know the south shoots are always perfect. :P  Karl thenomexundiesgod Mann.
I'm starting to notice a pattern here.... seems the south guys have one of the haliburton wx changing machines OR are in cahoots with the VP.
i'm a new guy that just picked up an AR15... i'll try to be there... i've already read the rules... might also bring a friend that is also a new AR owner...
what kind of targets should i bring?
If we're going there to take the oil, then where is the cheap gas in Woodland Park?Quote:

If you bring paper targets you will aslo have to bring your own target stand.
...clay pigeons, pumpkins...
OK, IF the weather cooperates, . everybody from up north, meet Me at the Castle Rock McDonald's on Founders Parkway, The first exit into CR, at no later than 0840. If You need the directions it should be in one of the stickys up top.
Greg, how was the road between where I left you and Sedalia last time? The way I went was nasty washboard and crappy asphalt/gravel and finally came out in Pine, and then I had to go down 285 from there (which was admittedly fun, in the twisties).
Might be a good way to go down rather than I-25 again.
Brian
Wow! It looks like you took the scenic route. I think it would have been quicker if you had gone the same way I did.
It was pretty gnarly right after I turned off. Some twisty and very narrow tight blind turns. I hit pavement after about 8 miles, but it was twisty and the speed limit was like 30 for a ways. There was another turnoff that we missed that appears to be wider and paved, at least for more of the trip. I later connected to it and saw the sign going the other way for Deckers. I may try it straight through from Sedalia next time, but that will depend on the weather.
I'll ask for that day off of work...
So shaving cream is allowed?
I wonder if hair spray would make a nice fireball :P
Weather permitting..
1- If they are nearly empty, Snacko use to bring them, Quite fun.Quote:

anyone plan on sighting in their AR that day?
marlin, what do i need to bring besides my AR and ammo?
Well Kwando, I do have some sight in targets so, If You want to bring some other type that will work, and a target stand of some type. If the weather is decent, We might bring the grill and do lunch, We're not as "gung Ho" on lunch during the winter though. Make that call as the Date aproaches. You might want to bring drinks and something to eat anyway.
I'll be working at getting the iron sights where I like 'em.
I will be attending if I am invited. Are other rifles welcome also? I have a HS precision HTR with .338's that ide like to give a workout.
Sure, Your invited. :D Pretty much We shoot a wide range, from sling shots to the .50BMG.
You didn't tell me about the sling shots!
I haven't been to the new WP shooting area, is the above .338 gonna be able to really stretch it's legs?
One side runs about 250-275 yrds, So its not bad.
Count me in for this shoot. I've got some new toys to try out. :D
Someone must have been very good this year.
Phsyco... I'll have my .308 with me again, I'll bring a spotting scope so hopefully we can both give that 250+ line a run.
I'll be happy to spot and help adjust for anyone sighting in with iron sites on an AR. Hell may even go back and read the instructions :)
thanks for the offer but I won't actually be attending unfortunately. I get off work at 0700 and have to be back at 2100 and going shooting in the middle of the day would make for a really long night.
Hopefully I can get off these graveyards one way or another.

from looking at the pics it looks like a lot of you bring foldable tables to use... where can i find a similar table at?
I usually see them at Sam's or Costco.
If everything is burned what is the problem? We wont have anything to burn? :P I guess that means I cant bring any tracers? :wink:Quote:

what should i bring for targets? just a few stakes, cardboard for backing, and paper targets? I have a box of clays also...
if i can get enough phone books soaked overnight i would like to do some expansion testing some .40 caliber HPs
That'll work! Hopefully it won't be so windy that the paper targets will be difficult to keep up.
I’m new here, but I would like to come along. Is there a meeting spot in Woodland Park?
I don’t have a lot of ammo to burn, but it would be fun.
There is a sticky a few threads up from this one that gives all the meeting places. The woodland park shoot everybody meets at MD's.Quote:
