I thought Ruth's Chris was good...
I've heard good things about Brooks Steakhouse, but I haven't been there.
Mike
Does Ruth chris want you to dress up or are jeans ok?
It's kind of "fancy" -- the last time I was there, a Lamborghini was parked in front. Think the Matre de wore a suit.
I don't recall "dressing up", and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't turn anyone away.
Now that I think about it, I was concerned about a dress-code too, but I saw a guy in shorts and a Hawaiian-pattern shirt so I figured I was fine.

The best I have had in Denver is Morton's but I have not been to Ruth Chris or Brooks. Morton's does have a dress code.
My back yard, You gotta bring Yer own Steak of course. Heavy tipping is encouraged. No Dress code though.
I like Del Frisco's. Aged steaks, great service, and no dress code. They also have a nice cigar bar. Del Frisco's buys the champion steer from the Denver Stock Show each year. Mmmm. Tasty. :D
Texas Road House was the best steak I've had recently, and they had a good selection of sides too.
Funny you should say that.Quote:

Mortons is where it is at.
For what it is worth, I had the WORST service experience at Ruth Chris. We were there for a party, and that seemed to just make em mad. Poor service from all of the wait staff assigned to us. The lowlight of the night was when I was served french onion soup with a "fresh" spoon that looked like it was just taken out of another patrons dish of chocolate pudding. WTH...

+1 plus the beer is much cheaper....Quote:

Last time I was there is was quite "cheap". The smallest, cheapest cut of steak was $32. Keep in mind that is for the steak. Yes, the steak. That include nothing else. What sad is the steak was "good" but not a good value. I think it is too pricey for what you get.
Now the lobster there is great. Smallest ones they have are 3lbs.
If I am paying, I like Outback or Texas Roadhouse.

stuart andersons. it's been a while but service , food & cost was reasonable.
the fresh fish co off hampden serves a decent steak.
price wise depends on your wallet. we figure an easy $20per w/out beverages.
I like the Outback, Traildust and for Marlins BBQ, Omaha Steaks.. mmmm

Texas Road House does have good steaks.
The last time I went to Mortons I accidentally ordered the $55 20 oz porterhouse, that's $55 for just the steak. I felt obligated to finish it (my boss was paying), I had to be rolled out!!!
chop house?
I like Outback myself.
Traildust is good too.
What I have determined is that we are all a bunch of cheap bastards.
I eat at "cheap" (lets say resonable or value) when I am paying. I only eat at "good" places when I am entertaining clients (and my clients tend to like the expensive places) and on an expense report.
I ate a fish resturaunt (excellent food by the way) in Hamburg and had to take a cleint out in December. Bill was around $300 for three people and that wasn't going overboard.
I figure when I take clients out, figure $100-150 per person. When I take myself out, I like to keep it under $20pp.
So I am the king of cheap. Of coarse, that $80-130 savings is some extra ammo. :)

Them are some high rollers. Me and them probably wouldnt get along very well.
Mikeys Top Sirlion - Hwy 224 (70th Ave) and Broadway.
Awesome food period and cheap. No dress code. They have
Steaks
Italian
Mexicans
Americans
Everything I have had there has been really good. Good service too.
KC..why wouldn;t you get along?
Actaully I understand. I am not always comfortable in those social situations. I would rather just do my work. However, after work many times the surgeons say "lets get dinner" which translates to "buy me dinner".
The social chit chat is much harder than the work. The work is all business with no BS.

Are you talking about the food or the staff? :wink:Quote:
