How long has that been out?
82/83?
Go Canada..
85. I saw that today. I guess the next step is to ban all books before 1960 or so if they have the "N" word.
If this was recent or new I could understand but going back 25 years to find something offensive?
Just wait till they discover "rap" records. :) [ROFL1]
The PC police down here have already begun trying to change Mark Twain books. Never mind that they were written in a different time, when values were different and they were designed to illustrate that; NOT to be deliberately offensive. But hey, who cares, PC is waaaaaaaayyyyyy more important.
The only material that's not offensive is that mentioning certain religious groups and a couple of specific demographics (like a bunch of US, here), imho.
Damn you Canada, Mark Knopfler doesn't need you anyway.[Bang]
I didn't know that song had the word faggot in it.
I remember when Money for Nothing first came out some homo rights groups protested and picketed. Mark Knopfler did interviews defending the song. The protests eventually died out without Dire Striates knuckling under.
How do most people live in Canada? Do they walk around with ear plugs in? Wear blinders? Some people are just fu**ing stupid.
You know He is British, He could have meant Cigerette...;)
French people wearing flannel that can't cook.
one station is going to play the song unedited for an hour straight in protest.
