For those that asked in your PMs, yes, I've used this stuff extensively over perhaps the last 7 or 8 years or so. It's my go-to lube for nearly every application. Very, very reliable, slick and effective on all of my firearms moving parts. Seems to stay in-place without excess viscosity, plus, it somehow bonds to metal surfaces for added corrosion protection. I used it to break in my ultra tight 2009 Dan Wesson CBOB (pistols notorious for binding up in the first 0-300 or so rounds because of tight tolerances and improper lubrication). Never so much as a wimper from the bobtailed .45.
I'm not a dealer, I just had a handful of bottles lying around from my last deployment and thought I'd pass them along. It's really good stuff...I think you'll like it!

Got mine in the mail today.... thanks!
Now I checked out their site and it said to clean the gun and apply it to all metal surfaces, then to reassemble and fire until at "operating temperature", then repeat. They also say if that isn't an option, to heat the gun with some other source, and I like this option better.
Plan is to detail strip my 1911, apply Militec as instructed, place in toaster oven and heat, then repeat application and heating 2 times.
1. How long do I heat it for?
2. What temp should I heat it to? (website says don't exceed 150* but doesn't say what optimal temp is).
EDIT: Also, their site says nothing about finish so I assume that doesn't matter, but logic says a coating on the metal would have an impact on how effective the Militec is. My 1911 is parkerized, the rest of my guns are blued... anybody got opinions on this?
