Yep. Our government is ruining this country as fast as they can, and a lot of things are going downhill, but it's still a pretty awesome place to live! We've still got it a LOT better than most of the rest of the planet.
I love that feeling too. We have it good because we fight to keep it.

You have to temper that against the realization that constructive criticism is helpful, and that by many metrics quality of life in Europe is better. I think a flat assumption that the USA has stumbled upon some magic recipe for happiness is a falsehood.Quote:
