My sons have expressed interest in this also, but frankly I cant see paying a steep fee to do the landowner a service. A few bucks, OK worth it so my sons can do it, but anything like the other post on here wanting $100 a head is frankly disgusting.
You know when you figure your gasoline cost and time to do some good scouting, paying somebody $100 / day isn't too bad a deal, IMO.
I spend a lot of money on driving every year just to find the places where I'll go knock on a door.
The best free places I have found are in WY on BLM land. A bit of a drive, but if you camp out for the weekend, it is fun and the kids should enjoy it.

Did a massive drive around on BLM land N, NE, NW of Maybell on BLM land looking for p dogs.

If www.wildlifehunters.com has any member slots left, they arrange awesome PD parties :)
If you are able to join, it takes some money ($275 if I remember right) but they have "club shoot" almost every month. I have usually shot 60-120 PD´s on that kind of a day.

I am sorry to say that the PD shoots are for range members only. It is done this way so that both the shooters and the land owners are covered by our insurance in case of accident or property damage.Quote:

You are correct. We do have a waiting list and, as of right now, we are probably looking at a 9 to 12 month waiting period.
