They look comfortable.
A member of my Woodworkers Guild here in Denver got one of those and swears by them. It's just a shame he doesn't have the legs for it. [roll]
Light and breezy to be sure.
I've contemplated getting one of those for probably four years now, but have never had the balls to do it. I hear one gets tons of favorable attention from women, which is good, but tons of negative attention from dudes either making fun or whatever, which is not. Sooner or later I'll do it.

Yeah, I posted here largely to see what other's reactions would be.
I've been thinking about them for about a year and a half.
Who knows, by the time I make it to another group shoot, I may just be wearing one
I've got a regular kilt from Scotland. I love the thing, even in hot weather. The only thing I have yet to figure out is hot to carry concealed with it. I have a sporran (the pouchthing you wear in the front) that is big enough to accomodate a compact pistol I have. However, it is not particularly accessible in there.
Got married in a kilt, have worn it a few times since. Definitely makes the ladies happy. Never had any static from guys... I think most are too nervous/insecure to say anything to a 6ft+ 200lb guy in a skirt. The visible boot knife (edit: ok, sock knife) may be a factor there.

Wear it strapped to your thigh, like Lazarus Long!Quote:

Heck, the size those pockets are, I could cram a pair of G21s in and nobody would notice.
I'm NOT going there.

ya gotta be a real man to wear one of those... guess Ill stay over here in the young punk area.
Perhaps I'll post a pic of one of the young punks here in FC.
When he's not wearing a kilt, it's full black punk outfit including the buttflap with punk rock logos, and covered with pyramid studs.
And when he's not wearing either of those, it's a woman's skirt with brightly colored tights & go-go boots.
Although he's a rather strange guy, with his tattoos he doesn't give the gay vibe but for someone that wacky I'm not going to bet one way or the other.
To each his own, but as for me.... Hell no!
Good luck with that!
I don't remember if it was the UK or maybe the Amerikilt, but one of the modern kiltmakers offers a CCW pocket sewn in. I have a feeling the garment is very CC-friendly. :)Quote:
