I just picked up a home defense shotgun. I've always had a sawed off Mossberg 500 but now that I have a nice one, I'm looking for some Ideas. I was thinking about a Ghost ring sight but I'm not sure yet. I thought maybe you guys could post up some of yours and give me some ideas.

Here's mine, it was originally a cheapo 870 Express with a 20?" barrel. I added BP tritium sights, long ago faded out. Hogue short buttstock to clear clothing and a mag extension. Vey simple, quick and handy. I've put about 250 thru it so far. My Benelli kicks harder than this does. Sorry about the crappy pics.

I like pump action shotguns. I like double barrel shotguns. Why not both in one? Of course with dual tactical bayonets. Stevens 350 x 2
I've had this for some time now. Would like to move the trigger group to the original spot and add a new stock. This would be a great platform to make a SBS.

Well here is my (almost) finished S12. I've seen worse pictures of firearms, but not much. Cut me some slack it was 11:30 when I finally finished it.
Still waiting on two more items, barrel shroud and extended Quad rail which seems to be always on back order. That will replace the crummy factory forward grip and cover up even more of the white.
I'll revist the pictures when it's all done.

I am working on a cheap Maverick 88 to put in a "break in case of zombies" glass case.. Installed the slides and the trirail forend yesterday. Will post pictures once I get all the parts in.
The Duracoat process was actually pretty painless. Like any paint project it's all about prep. I spent two days sanding and scrubbing and cleaning the metal before laying down the DC. I got a little run on the dust cover but it will get covered by the rail once it comes in.Quote:

This is the smoothest shooting semi-auto 12ga I have ever shot. When fully loaded and counting the side saddle, I've got (14) rounds at my disposal!

I think I will go with a Magpul AFG, the vertical fore grip is not feeling too good. And I will be doing the Mesa Tactical stock kit, and their side saddle at some point.
