Born and raised in WI also. Back then I never realized how restrictive the state was. About time for this.
Now we just need to get a group together to go beat some sense into the FIB's to the south of WI.
awesome....I just wish Minnesota would recognize our permits. My wifes family is in Iowa and they allow it, but Minnesota and wisconsin dont.

Think the "Flash Mobs" will think twice now?
"This makes Wisconsin the 49th state to give law-abiding citizens an option to carry a concealed firearm for personal protection."
What state doesn't alow CC?
Illinois still has no right to carry.[Rant2]
I hear ya. I am going back to Iowa on Monday to visit my father. I like that they recognize our Colorado permit...however sometimes my dad & I will travel up to Minnesota for some fishing and I have to leave the blaster at home . Maybe some day... One thing is for sure, I stay as far away from that communist state Illinios!
Get a Utah non-resident permit, that will cover you for Minnesota. You would need a Utah certified class/instructor, but the Utah permit is only 65.50 for the first 5 years and $10 for renewal. There are a lot of Utah classes here in the Denver area, I took a combined Utah/Colorado class with Profire a couple of years back, about 10 hours on a Sunday.
I'm in Wisconsin on business, so far no reciprocity with ANY state.
IL should follow WI's footstep./
I was born & grew up in south, central Illinois (a long time ago). All farm community, mid-west, conservative values. Every once in a while you'd hear something about Chicago wanting to be become it's own state. General consensus was, "Hell yeah!!! Get rid of those idiots and leave the rest of Illinois alone so some common sense can prevail!".
