I will be there!
I'm going to try to make it.
Couple things I need.
*Yawn*
15rnd Glock 10MM mags That I should have bought when they were 2 for $30, Now 2 for $47.
Bandoleers of Turkish 8MM use to be $7, Now $17.
Gun show Commandos, [roll] [roll] [roll]
Did anyone notice the group of guys at the gun show that maybe should not have been there.
Would that have been the 'latino' group or the Slavic? I didn't notice any thugs on drugs w/baggy pants but did see a few of questionable integrity.
On a bright note: landed a nice green series 70 Colt 1911 race gun. I'm pleased. Broke, but pleased.
Noticed lots of ARs and parts. Seems to have been more at this show than previously, but then again, I get distracted easily. There was also a plethora of tall, leggy, georgeous women there today.
You must have gone later than I did.
Yawn indeed. I was there two different times: once in the AM then later in the afternoon.
I'm starting to second guess not buying some G23 13 rounders for $18.95. Should I have taken them? Are they usually around $25?Quote:

Unfortunately, I saw some of them.... [poke]Quote:

There were definately some hotties roaming about. I was very pleased with the *ahem* turnout. I'm kinda pissed because I kept passing up good deals to try and find something better and every single one that I passed up was gone before I made it back. I'm not used to that happening at the Tanner shows. I do plan on going back early tomorrow morning to pick up an AR lower.
Arsenal building has begun.
My wallet hurts but we got some good stuff I think. May start or add to a thread once I get some pics. Wife got a pistola she likes and a pretty sweet knife, I got something that shoots .223 but [ohno] it's not an AR.
Oh btw got the pistol and more from 5280 Armory aka Matt and Gina. Nice folks, as I'd read here. Mentioned this group to Gina and she recognized it right away. They threw in a bipod adapter for... well I gotta mount it first.
<runs for toolkit>

I tell ya Artboy, while I was waiting for my NICs check, one dealer hauled back 5 AR lowers w/in a 40minute period. He's the one that had the RRA, DoubleStar, Stag lowers along with other AR parts and acc's. I was looking for a stripped Ameetec and would have jumped on a stripped DoubleStar also but he didn't have any. ...I wish the honey dealer was there too...dangit. I hate having my coffee without fresh honey.
The guys at 5280 are stand up guys. I picked up some "tac" mods for the AK from them.
Picked up a new .45 XD for the wife today at the show, and like everyone else, my wallet is now feeling much lighter. A good investment none the less.
I also saw a couple of gentlemen that seemed a little questionable. But then again, so was I a few years ago.
Which one of you were checking out my wife???
We were there with 3 of our 5 kids. If you saw us, you couldn't have missed us, we were the only ones with a stroller, a 3 month old, a 2 year old and a 7 year old with purple hair.
Hm, might have seen a stroller... hard to remember with all the gun pr0n. I was the guy in the striped Pabst Blue Ribbon shirt - at least 3 people asked me about the beer, heh.
Those of you saying it wasn't a great show... that because of prices? Selection? Lack of free guns? I admit prices weren't AWEsome, but most of what I saw seemed fair... enlighten me.
We did get a spare mag for the pistol from "MagMan" that doesn't seem to fit, may go back tomorrow. [It's super tight with over 1" still sticking out, and I don't wanna just jam it in there.]
Hope all works out. I got 3 NIW HK33 LEO mags from him today, expensive but oh so sweet.Quote:

For me, it might of just been my mood. I didn't have enough money to spend on new guns, just some various parts here and there (e.g. mag holster, etc.). So it was probably largely that. But even then I don't think gunshows are what they used to be, hence my "yawn".Quote:

Bersa Thunder .380 PPK clone, white arrow is the keyed safety. Came with a sealed, dated envelope with a test-fire casing and a trigger lock. Decocker safety, nice DA pull, white 3-dot sights (dovetailed rear sight is windage adjustable), and it has a mag safety too.
And now... My first rifle!!
Mini-14, synthetic stock, matte stainless , picked up a Harris bipod adapter and Rock Mount 6-9" bipod, 30rd ProMag pictured (bought 2), came w/ the action padlock and 1" scope rings (and factory 5rd mag natch):

Need to visit range... RISING...
That's the guy that I was gonna go back and pick one up from. I guess he's a wholesaler and he just comes to the occasional show to unload extra inventory. I REALLY hope that he has more of those lowers when I go back today. My woman would have killed me if I would've just bought it without asking her but I managed to talk her into letting me get one last night. Here's hoping.Quote:

At least it's Black. [wink]
This was definately a great show. There were some really good deals. There was a pawn shop in Englewood that was clearing out a bunch of their guns so you could get some killer deals. They had a Ruger P95 for $200, an XD .40 for $300, a bunch of Mossberg 500s for $120 and Remington 870s for $150 just to name a few things. I ended up getting an almost brand new Marlin 30-30 lever action for $200 from them. I also picked up one of those Double Star lowers for $227 after tax. The guy selling the AR stuff only comes to town once a year so I'm kinda glad I jumped on that. Everyone else was selling them for over $300. I got a new shirt, too. Here are some pics.

Yeah yeah bring it on, I can take it.
Got the Ruger from those StormCrest guys that were right near the Pepsi machine. They had a great selection.
My credit card was lucky to escape with just two guns... sounds like some good deals at the pawn guys, but I'm kinda glad we missed 'em (not sure how though). If my wife had seen that lever action at that price, yikes! That of course would have led to her insisting that we get "me" another gun, and my case of wallet-limp would be a lot worse.
That Marlin looks pretty clean Artyboy, nice score.
Chrisguy, that's a nice li'l '14 there. I picked up a LEO mini-14 from Robs before he retired and I'd like to get a few nice 30s for it. Haven't shot it yet, but I like it. For that matter, I guess it was a mini-14 my Dad brought home way back that started my addiction (BRD). Careful with them Marlins Artyboy...they seem to be another addicting rifle...I love my three.
Now that I see those are mini-14 ProMags...how well do they work?
Actually I bought it for my dad. His birthday is in a few days but we celebrated last night. He loved it. I'll try to get him to come with me Saturday to give it a test run .
Hey Chris, _I'll_ be in line to shoot the darn thing.Quote:

But that could have several different interpretations - not all positive.
I don't have the $$ to even think about going to gunshows.
