It was a major accomplishment for whoever profited 1.3 billion at taxpayer expense. This is what happens when you have a govt that plays with trillions in fake money. Billions are just a rounding error and to be dismissed. What's the big deal about losing 1.3 billion compared to a national debt of 14500 billion and counting? Eventually this all ends badly.

While I too agree we shouldn't be using tax payer funds/credits rebuilding anything in foreign countries, this program was started by Congress in 2000 and the first funds were doled out by George W Bush in 2001. Congress controls the purse strings, not the President. Blaming Obama or Bush is pointless. Calling for any sitting president to be hung is also ill advised at best. Presidents are bound to spend money as Congress mandates, no matter if they agree or not. And these same funds are also used to rebuild churches and cathedrals, in other countries of course.Quote:
