About 10 yrs ago, Bobby Rahal (Former Indy driver, and also former team principal for Formula1 Jaguar team during 2001) said NASCAR has the biggest naming junkies.
Their sponsor $$ is significantly less than Formula 1, but they have the biggest naming junkies.
...and my smokin hot wife... [LOL]
All racing teams kiss up to their sponsors. It is the only way to keep the $$$ rolling.
I quit buying NAPA Gold oil filters 'cause they started branding them with NASCAR crap.
As far as the prayer...WTF?[Priest]
That is just one of the reasons I no longer watch NASCAR.
Yes, I used to be an avid fan. Up until the same drivers win year after year. The sport is mostly about who has the best sponsors and has the most money. I have respect for the drivers, I have just moved on.
RRRrrr Go left,RRRrr go Left, RRrrr go Left.....
Gets Old.
BONZI 1/4 mile Winner. All over. No BS'n bump drafting causing wrecks etc.
Ha yep. "n no tradin' paint.
Now this might be interesting.
NASACAR
Same reason I do not watch NASCAR anymore.
Lower budget. Lower technology. No manufacturer team (privately or small company owned team). Every race (except 1 ) is oval tracks.
Oval track is boring.
This is why I start watching Formula1 since 1998. I am "fairly" happy with it.
Less naming junkies, but Formula 1 does have their own issues.
Rally racing, now thats some crazy shit.
Say what you will (and you do) but I think if NASCAR got behind a track here in Colorado the revenue brought in to our state would be a huge benifit to us all. You don't have to go to the race. Just sit back and watch the money come in from all the out of town "red necks" that travel to watch the left turns for 300+ miles and then go back to the hotel they are staying at.
NASCAR had a track out here. It sucked balls. Ooooo a big (little actually) oval. Its south of Co Springs. Whats infuriating is we almost got a HUGE racing facility built here up North. But the town up there said no........... so the company built it in Utah. Its the best track in the US now.
But thankfully there is a new track that just opened out near Byers.
We just need to build 10 others to replace the ones that have been closed over the last 20 years.
Rally racing......... now that takes balls and no fear of death. Sometimes no common sense either[ROFL1]
Ricky Bobby: Dear Lord Baby Jesus, I want to thank you for this wonderful meal, my two beautiful son's, Walker and Texas Ranger, and my Red-Hot Smokin' Wife, Carley
Carley Bobby: [raises hands] Woo!
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Mhmm!
Walker: [along with Texas Ranger] Ow.
