Yeah...depending on the type of TV it might not be worth it to repair. I spent about $200 to fix a really nice Sony several years ago. Then something else broke on it.
Upgraded to flat panel and now it doesn't take 3 guys to move the TV.
It's usually not worth repairing TV's anymore. My old one died around Thanksgiving and the part I needed was around $350 so I got a new flat screen for $300. JMHO [Beer]
JackImpact just applied for a job at Best By today, mentioned some thing about CO AR-15 Mem. bennies if he gets the job??

Guess I should have mentioned, samsung 42" LCD. Power won't turn on, power light flashes.
Look up the manual online (if you're anything like me.. I don't keep those).. the way the power light flashes can tell you the problem.
That's what mine did when the bulb went out.. the power light would flash.
Buy a new one when Jack gets his Job.. just think of his first month sales!
It's the flat LCD, aeady unplugged and rePlugged. I've heard th fix is $500, I just want to see what a repair guy would say. I would sbit myself if it was only $25 or so.
new tvs suck my dlp died after a year the new bulb is like 500 bucks......meanwhile my dad still has a tv from like 1970 in his bedroom that keeps cranking along
Unplug power cord and hold power button for 30sec. Plug power back in and wait a minute then try power again.
i'm almost ashamed to admit this story but here goes, last year I was cleaning my 1006 smith and the recoil spring rod shot out and hit my 1 month old 55" led and shattered the screen they wanted over a thousand bucks to fix it, with no guarantee how long before they could get the parts. I only paid $1400 for the whole tv, so needless to say I went and bought a new tv, and put the broken one in storage for parts like the tv shop reccomended, now I have everything but a screen if my new tv takes a dump.
Got LG's Big and Bigger.

50 inch was just zapped by lightning.
