I'm looking for a range or just any general area where I can work on long distance shooting. I'm unsure of anywhere further than 100 meters unless I go into the mountains. I would appreciate any insight. Thank you!

Www.blgc.org. it has a 600 yd range.
There it also a thread in the places to shoot section listing every range the members know of with a map. Can check that out too
Canyon City goes past 1,000.
Frontier south has been waving their arms about getting past 300 for years. It looks like it happen later this year.
There's always the NRA's Whittington Center range down in Raton. It goes out to 1000 yds. right?
Golden Gun Club in Watkins has a 500 yard range. However, Ben Lomand is much closer for you in The Springs.

Cofi... If you figure out what the liabilities are and do not mind having people over. Myself as well as friends and I'm sure people on this site would love to come out. Just let us know the details once you figure them out.
Hopefully we can get this figured out. That way we can get us a couple gongs and shoot something other than paper.
Pueblo West will start on our 600 yard range within a month or two.
