range clean up/READ LAST PAGE!!!!! oct 8-9 south site

I am going to call this. We will not have anything going Friday or Sat. Please take a look and if it is clear and no snow on the ground come sunday morning then we will have a short clean up.

3pm meet at south site , shooting and goofing off
5pm make camp or head to camping site

oct 9
8-11 am clean up the place
11-3 food , shooting fun
3-4ish wrap up

shooting /meet up
this needs no explanation
things to bring
guns and ammo [Sniper]

camping
i do know that we are allowed to camp at south site .but there are no formal camp sites and no toilets. there are a few campgrounds close by but they cost 17 bucks a night .ill talk to the ranger and see if we can get a deal or something if enough people want to camp out .
things to bring
what ever it is that you need to camp

cleaning
trash is always around and some times nasty . if we have enough people maybe we can do some better lane construction (moving rocks and logs so the regular people know where to shoot )

gloves
rakes
shovel (you never know )

this should need no explanation at all

food , plates , drink ect , to share with the rest of the class of course

shooting fun
for those who dont want to compete there will be plenty of space to shoot rifles , pistols , and shotguns .i hope some of the more experienced shooter will help the less experienced out , or even and instructor?? this will also be a good time to show off your toys and have fun

well im gonna go with pistols (more fun to watch ), unfortunately i dont know much about competing so ill need some help with it .ill edit as details change
if you want to compete check in will be from 8-9 , yep that means you have to clean in order to play with the rest of us .

Depending on the weather I may bring the camper out for the last of the year. I could set it up near the main area we use on the 7th and sort of be a base.

I have tables and camp stoves along with pots and whatnot. I am used to feeding 30 or so at Falfest and putting it all together.

This would also be a chance for many to get out meet. The weather is the main thing as everyone knows it is iffy that time of year but I have gone to Buffalo Creek around that time in years past. And I make a big mean pot of coffee. [Beer] And I would say no booze until after all the shooting is done. No fun telling tails without a beer and that would be on Sat evening.

I want to go, for the weekend, but not sure I can afford it. Truck/Camper/GAS $$$$. I might be able to show up in the city car for basic help and fun for $.

Lifes just got me down. Medical bills, medical problems, wife's job on the way out, just sitting and waiting. Not spending any money on anything until the wife lands something else or whatever.

I shouldn't even venture down, but still think I might, just never know.

Medically I shouldn't stay for more than a few hours, sucks. We'll see what mood I'm in as it approaches. Want to help etc, but physically probably can't do much.

Anyone that is going on the 8th an Avs season ticket holder? I wouldn't want your tickets to go to waste.

Please send me a PM of directions how to get to this site from Denver. I would be glad to help if I knew where these sites were. I have been a member of an established range for over 20 years, so I'm not familiar with natural shooting areas. Also, I don't have a GPS, I just do it the old way with maps, etc.

Yes, I'll be there.

laf, I have NO external gear on mine. I do have a 6.1 surround system, dish, and 32" LED tv in it though! [Beer]

My friend may come along and bring his slightly smaller rig. Long story, but it's easier for him this time. If not, I'll be in a zipperless tent if I don't get off my backside and get it fixed. P.S. don't let kids use your $400 Kelty.

its already getting good . just got a pile of stuff to give away , new mag pouches , a extra heavy duty gun lock and more (thanks shooter jm ) . people are really getting behind this and giving me more and more stuff to give to you guys . so please tell folks , bring your wife , kids or a shooting buddy .

This sounds like a lot more fun than the three days of concrete work I have planned at my rental property on the 8th, 9th, and 10th. If I get done early and I can still move, I will try to help with some clean-up.
