I loosed the arrow, sticking it through the heart and out the other side. The bear bolted, I dropped the bow, jumped to my feet and drew my .44 Mag. The bear folded up about forty yards away. I don't think the critter initially even recognized my presence. I was rock still, well concealed, and scent free (right up to that point[Tooth])
