Thought it was interesting that the price of a new Apple is almost the same today.

Umm, you truly get what you pay for when you buy a mac. Bought my father in law one when they converted over to Intel cpu's and it just went out this year and that was because he spilt a beer on it, over 5 years old and more than 7 hours a day everyday working on it, yea it was well worth it.
I wonder if they had any bitchin deals on high speed, 28.8Kbps modems?

I was just talking to my mom about that... Remember back in the day before the interwebz? I remember- and I know not how old I was- when my mom first came home with our first modem. She required a modem hookup for work (as she did a lot from home) and it always tied up the phone lines. Gosh back then porn didn't even have videos online, it was just pictures :( but it was free! :DQuote:

Decent II was fun. I worked in the computer department at a Best Buy in 93 and 1994. I remember when the very first Pentium machines arrived, it was from Packard Bell and was one of the 60Mhz ones. First box we opened and the CPU was loose on the inside, having flown around the inside of the case during shipping was totally destroyed. The "Fast" ones were a blazing 90Mhz.
