good for her !! but i bet there is some lib crying for the guy who got shot and will try to ban guns over it .
Wow! 20 out of 20 comments and not one gun fearing lefy in the bunch. Wall street must be keeping the libs busy. [Coffee]
Would have a different reaction if a BG broke into a house with a baby sleeping... hell a house full of babies, wait there is prob a phone in the house to call 911.
Looks like good shooting on her part.
We need more gun stories like this and less where the gun owner looks horrible. Good job!
Don't mess with mama bear.
nice shot,
Right!? [Beer]
Good for her, she should be commended by the city and they should announce "This is the example to follow, this is how most gun owners are! And she's a responsible parent!"
I have to say, stories like this only happen in America, you'll never hear about a mom shooting a would be kidnapper in England... blimey, guns are bad!
Another +1 for the mother. I'd do the same for my kids if I had any.
good for her.
What an awesome story.
I'd love to hear more details, such as gun type, caliber, shot placement, # of shots, etc. Hopefully a large caliber to the back of the head.
glad everything worked out great and the POS isn't breathing.
That had to be quite the stressful shot- shooting TOWARDS your baby.
Great outcome and a reminder why we carry and train with our guns.
Score...
why cant we just copy and paste these stories
NAPLES, Fla. (AP) — Sheriff's officials in southwest Florida say a clerk at a 24-hour food store shot and killed a man who tried to rob her and take her 1-year-old daughter.
Store owner Del Ackerman told the Naples Daily News (http://bit.ly/rnKaJe ) his granddaughter shot the man after he stormed into the store Tuesday afternoon and demanded money and grabbed the stroller that held her baby.
Authorities say 22-year-old Elizabeth Easterly was alone in the store with her 1- and 2-year-old daughters. Collier County Sheriff's spokesman Jamie Mosbach says the man was acting erratically before the incident.
Mosbach says the clerk shot the man as he headed toward the door with the child. He was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.
The sheriff's department is investigating.

Good shoot. I like good shoots, makes my day
Fixed.
Good shooting had nothing to do with it... she aimed for and hit the guy in the knee, as apparently she was trained to in her crap firearms or CCW class.
Then she left her 1 and 2 year old children in the store with the BG while she ran to alert a school crossing guard. This, of course, allowed the BG to attempt to walk away with one of the kids.
There's so much fail in this situation it hurts my brain.

Sorry, I'm just trying to vent my frustration with how unbelievably stupid this whole thing is.Quote:
When she ran outside to alert a school crossing guard, Hernandez grabbed the stroller with Easterly's child and carried it toward the door.
No wonder you popped out 2 babies before you even hit 21... you're a dumb f**king c**t. What the hell possessed you to think it'd be anything close to a smart idea to leave your 2 infant children alone with a still-living criminal that was apparently dangerous enough that you felt it necessary to shoot him? And what exactly do you think a school employee at a crosswalk is going to do anyway?
His granddaughter [the shooter] had taken a training course in which she was taught to shoot a person in the legs to disable them, he said.
How somebody that teaches this idiotic "tactic" is allowed to continue teaching is beyond me, and you, sir, should be slapped really hard upside the head for allowing a loved one to give the asshat their money.
"I'm so thankful God saved my granddaughter and my grandbabies, because this guy was really vicious," Ackerman said.
You're damn right He did... cause it sure as hell wasn't anything you or your granddaughter did.
Well, at least luck was on her side. Typically luck is against you in that sort of situation.
