Any suggestions?
More than likely going to be a work knife. But I am open minded on fixed and folders. Throw out your suggestions.

Check out www.spyderco.com and let me know if you find anything of interest that you would like a price quote on. I can offer a fairly decent discount off their webstore prices.

I have a CRKT M21-04 that I really like. A folder that has a lever on the side so one can "Lock" it open. and it open just as fast as any automatic knife I have ever seen. Not that I would ever have seen a switchblade. :P
Any idea how much you want to spend?
This is my current work knife:

This one I carry pretty much the rest of the time:

I carry a Kershaw Leek everyday.
I carried a Buck Mayo every workday for years. Finally decided to retire it to the safe.
No complaints. Just thought I'd try something different.

If you have the $$$, Mad Dog kinves are some of the best in the business.

The Kershaw Mini-Cyclone is a nice-looking knife. I haven't played with it yet myself.

I've got an old multi-colored Kershaw Boa with an uncoated combo-edge blade I like a lot.

Would like to keep it around $100-200ish. Less if possible.
Kershaw Ken Onion runs $40-45. get the black blade with the ken onion logo filled in vs. the outlined one. they have a better "spring assist"Quote:

It's a good size for me too. Heavy duty enough for most uses. I think retail is about $100.00 but I see them all the time for around $85.00. Karl.
I've gone through a lot of knives. I had a small Sebenza for a while.Quote:

I think I prefer every other titanium frame-lock I've ever seen to the (small) Sebenza.

I gree, this is the knife that has helped me out of many situations, including th delivery of my daughter. My wife never rolls her eyes when I talk about knives anymore. :cool:Quote:

The Buck Police Knife seems worth a look.

Personal preference. I used to buy a new knife every few months or so, but I haven't gotten a new one for almost four years since I've had the Sebenza. It just works perfectly for me.Quote:

Stumbled across the Benchmade 635-60 while looking for the BM 555.
Since I was ordering the 555 anyway, I went ahead and bought the regular 635 (the 635-60 is too expensive).
Otherwise I'd still be carrying the Buck Mayo TnT.
Mike
I vote for the Microtech Makora OTF.
In that genre, I'm drawn to the BM Model 5000 Auto-Presidio.Quote:

Ok found some Benchmades, Microtechs, and 1 SpiderCo I am looking at.
So where do you all buy your knives online at?
I will probably also try to hit the beenie baby show next weekend and have a look before I buy anything.
Man by the time I go back to work and get off light duty I am going to be broke with new gun, knives, mags, and ammo purchases......
I used to like 1SKS, but my last couple of purchases have been from New Graham and TAD Gear.
Mike
I had good luck with New Graham as well, though it was close to five years ago now. Do they still send the little bandaid dispenser with a knife order?
I have had good results with Smith and Wesson knives. I try to keep my knives under $25 because of the rate I lose them in the field
I plan on getting a Glock knife next, deos anyone have any feedback on those?
I picked these up when The Big 5 just opened up down the street
The two S&W's were 60 each and the Rem was 50, I got them for 12bucks each :) I only wanted one but its nice to have a back up. Now all I have to do is find out who of my cuz friends lifted my spider co knife

I'm a big fan of Jerry Hossom's work.
You might take a peek at the Ontario Retribution 2. Photo courtesy of A.G. Russell knives.

IMHO Benchmades AXIS lock type knife is the only way to go. I detest most other types of locks. Granted I havent seen them all but the axis is the best ive seen yet. I have been carrying a 940 model for about 4-5 years every day.

I agree I love the AXIS lock and have not found one that I like as much yet.
I wish they made smaller version tho....
