To make a long story short I ended up throwing myself out of my car to avoid being stung by a wasp as I am highly alergic. This happened about 3 weeks ago and my collar bone is still swollen and I am in more pain than I have ever felt. I am waiting for my insurance to be re instated and I will go to the doctor, I did go after it happened cause of the pain in my neck but it hurts so bad it hurts to swallow or move or sleep pretty much anything hurts it. Does anyone have any advice thanks.
Rig up a sling to immobilize your arm and shoulder. Put an ice pack on. Take some advil. Sit down and watch a movie. Sorry you're in pain. If you think it is broken, go to Walgreens, maybe, and get a brace. It will basically look like a figure 8 and will pull your shoulders back to keep your collar bone in place. There isn't much you can do for a broken collar bone.
Tell them your an Illegal.....in spanish.
Sound like you broke the collar bone. As expensive as it might be you should probably go see a doctor.
Yeah I broke mine but never went to the doc. Healed but took awhile.
Naproxin works better for me.

I'm not allergic to bees or wasps, etc., but I don't like the little fawkers and have learned over the years how to...instead of fearing them and trying to get away, I kill them without mercy with a pre-emptive strike. I could go into Anaphylactic shock if I get stung so I launched my self out of my car and kind of rolled to the left side and rolled over on my shoulder and neck and ended up on my feet. I wish I could have seem it I bet it looked cool. Anyway I did go to the doctor and they took xrays I would hope that they would have seen if something was wrong. My collar bone feels out of place and is still swollen, I dont even remember if you can dislocate a collar bone. I have meds I am taking that are fairly strong from being rear ended by a drunk driver and they are not helping. I have 4 disk out 2 are impinging on my spinal cord, when the ER doctor looked at my MRI awhile back he said holy crap how can you still walk. My spine looks like it has speed bumps in it, so on top of that I have to deal with this. Thanks for your input and advice guys.
Break both of your arms too... Serously though alieve helped me a bit with my arms but you need oxy. I know the pain in which you speak and I feel for you man!
i will say this...i went to the ER after my motorcycle accident and they missed a broken scapula, and it was way broken. Now a day they will fix your collar bone if it has moved more than 1 cm plus you get this sweet scar.

I was inside the car waiting to go to work, car was on a hill backed in not moving. I am going to see a doctor as soon as my insurance kicks in. It is hard to explain but I dove out of the car and rolled down the little hill backwards and to the left, which is were I keep my gun and wallet with big chain so I dont lose it when riding, those Items did not feel good as well. Again thinks guys for your help the ice has been helping alot. I dont know if I told you guys that I passed out from the pain at work, yes I still tried to go to work and they made me take an ambulance to the hospital.Quote:
