Just curious if there are any Jeepers on this forum. Post pics of your rig or your Jeep doing something cool.

I don't have a Jeep but I might have a picture somewhere of me on an ATV pulling one out of a stream after the yuppie driving it hydro-locked the engine trying to get across.
I own two, but they don't see much action. Wife's Patriot and my Jeepster...

I think it was a yellow belly marmot that snuck in while we were eating our picnic, and yes I still have my jeep. We sold hers and bought her a new F-150. I had put it up on Naxja and didn't get any interest. It was armored up and locked, we just didn't drive it enough. She put it on consignment so we didn't have to mess with it and someone in Canon City picked it up at almost double what we were asking.

cstone/ Sharp ride. That is jeepin' old school.[/QUOTE]
fentonite/ That Jeepster is sweet! I like the personalized tires.
Thanks Guys! Picked it up for free, been trying to fix it up with what little money I have. Just took the top off for summer cruising. Most people don't know what it is or call it a scout!
Finally found the photo I wanted to post. Best action shot of the jeepster so far.

Coolest thing my '56 CJ5 has done so far is sit and wait patiently for me to get around to fixing it up. Sat right there for 30 years. Still waiting for me, I really need to get off my ass and finish it. The chassis is nearly done, I just need to install the brake m/c and bracket, then plumb the brake lines, and find a place to store the chassis while I work on the engine/trans/t-case. Put the drivetrain into the chassis and back into storage, and the bodywork can commence. I really need a bigger place where I can work on it. This photo was in my dad's electrical business shop, back in OK. My dinky little 18x18 garage just don't cut it.

It's really in damn good shape for 56 years old, I'm trying to restore it back to 100% new condition and nearly original, but with much better brakes, steering, and electricals. Also have a brand new white Kayline top just like this one, still in the box. Bought it from some guy that was cleaning out an old Jeep dealership in CA, it had been sitting on a shelf forever, Kayline's been out of business for many years. And I have a steel halfcab for it too.
Got some original seats, including a rear seat, and original 16" steel wheels. Going back with skinny 6" tires like they came with, it's just going to be used for scenic trail rides, you guys can have the rock crawling stuff.
Brought it to CO at Xmas, 2004. This was its first bath in over 30 years.

Also scored this ultra-cool and uber-rare venting windshield for it. These things are damn hard to find and big bucks! I got it from a guy that traded me even-up for my stock windshield, because he was tall and this was hard for him to see out of. Needs restoring, but it's not rotted, rusted or damaged, and I've already got new rubber gaskets for it. Just needs blasting, painting, and new glass.

Geo Trackers..........for when it's too tough for a Jeep. lol
http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/u...ill/geopic.jpg
Had a Geo tracker and a sidekick. Definitely can take a beating. Ifs and lack of aftermarket support kills them. My 95 tracker lsi had a calmini 3" lift and was locked front and rear. For only havingg 31" tires it was pretty beast

I thought real Jeeps were supposed to have an obligatory amount of rust. I haven't seen any rust yet! I'll fix that deficit. Here's my wifey's '81 Scrambler.

As soon as I can get my Porsche sold I'll be joining you Jeepers ... going to hunt down a nice (but not too nice) CJ2,3 or early (preAMC) CJ5. Something like rondog's would be about perfect.

Harsh.
It felt like almost a roll on Fireman's Hill, but I doubt it would have rolled. You might have been thinking about my comment about my buddy's Rubicon that went just before me. He didn't have a chance to straighten out as much as I did, so we were pretty worried about him rolling.
I was only temporarily stuck in the mud pit. I backed up there to move out of the way of someone else and got stuck. Right when that other truck pulled up to get me off, I managed to work it loose. I miss that truck, it was much better than the one I have now.
Thanks for the vote of confidence! So far, the frame's been blasted and powdercoated, same with axle housings, axles all rebuilt, front D25's been replaced with a '72 D30, all new 11" brakes all around. Plus I've got a buttload of all kinds of new parts and correct vintage parts stocked up. And a neighbor waiting to do the bodywork and paint. So, I've got a good start, just need a good kick in the ass I reckon.
