FPS Russia has a video of it, beautiful Bullpup, I want! Go-ph-er it man! [Beer]
Here's another .308 Bullpup option.
mag changes look like a b*tch to do with bullpup platforms...
..................But a true high quality M14 in a new chassis I would rather have than Kel Tec, who has some issues.
Like not making enough for demand and their prices go way too high for what you get.......a $1800 gun for $2400 because you cant find them anywhere, I'll pass and a get a good M14.
That chassis though is a $1000 in itself, sheesh! maybe just save and buy a SCAR 17. :)
I really want a RFB really bad, I have never checked out a M1A.
So how bad does the trigger suck?
Why does everyone always bring up triggers? They suck on normal AR's also... Triggers can be worked on, even on a bullpup.
I have looked into the M1 chassis before, and I settled on it, then, ran out of money... For a 308, I haven't seen anything that is up to par with it yet.
Bullpup triggers usually suck WAY worse than stock AR triggers do ... and I doubt there's any way to make a bullpup as nice as the Timney on my AR ... although folk say the RFB trigger is actually pretty doggone good.
Most of the "convert you're rifle to a bullpup" stock kits suck even worse than factory bullpups. It's simple physics ... add a bunch of long levers and such and you just can't get as smooth, light and crisp a trigger as you can where the trigger is only a fraction of an inch from the sear.
Also part of the point of a .308 rifle is long range precision ... need a good trigger for that.
I love the idea of bullpup rifles ... I really do. But every one I've shot (couple of AK conversions, a Muzzelite Marlin and an AUG) all had mushy triggers that reminded me of a weed eater, not a rifle. If a bullpup conversion has a decent trigger I'm there.
First off, your Timney trigger, isn't that great. It's great for one you can buy, but it isn't that great.... Send it to BP and let him show you what I mean. Second, I don't know about Ak conversions, never had one, never worked on one. Your Aug however can have a great trigger. The trick to a bullpup is getting rid of the slop in all of the connections, closing some of the gaps, polishing, and just making sure the parts fit tight and move nicely. It can also be accomplished in the FS2000's. It's just time and money, or if you can do it yourself, time. Look at all the hand guns out there with trigger bars, same damn thing, just shorter. You can get an amazing trigger out of an Hk or Beretta. I'm not saying that they are as great as a well done 1911 trigger, or in a rifle's case, a nice 700 or something, what I'm saying is that you can make them pretty damn good with time, or money.
I love the concept behind bullpup weapons... I'm not too impressed with this one here. My favorite bullpups on earth are the IMI Tavor MTAR-21

and the L85A2... hey it works for the SAS!

I got the email this morning on this chassis. I have a couple socoms and they are my favorite handi rifles. Would like to see some reviews. Have to say the bull pup looks awesome but looks are not important as the the rifles intended purpose.
308's also make very good battle rifles. That cartridge isn't just for long range.
To the OP... I say go for it. I have heard that the trigger in the Juggernaut is pretty good. The trigger in a stock M14/M1A/Garand is probably the best military rifle trigger ever made. At least you'll be starting with a good trigger.
The Tavor intrigues me, especially being a bullpup guy. I have yet to see anything it offers over the FS2K but I also have yet to handle or shoot one. I will agree with the bullpup detractors on one thing, the AK conversions are shit! one because the trigger is beyond atrocious and 2 because of the heat issues, trigger and forend. However I have an FS2k, and had an AUG, and something as simple as a nue trigger helps a great deal, and as stated work can be done to make the triggers quite nice. Frankly the ARs ive shot (admittedly my ARMY issue and other factory ones) did not posses some vastly superior trigger to my pups. Mag changes? simply a matter of training and no less intuitive once your used to it. IMO the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, ie, longer barrel with shorter OAL (better CQB and ballistics) , excellent balance (traditional rifles just feel ungodly front heavy anymore) and at least in the the case of the FS easy shoulder transition and reliable forward eject. I do have some complaints about my FS, unnecessarily wide (cannot figure out why, lots of empty space in that stock), no bolt hold open ( a function of the forward eject, acceptable trade off but not ideal) and a less crisp trigger (but no where near as bad as some claim). In the end folks can beat thier chests and claim their platform is superior all day, at the end of the day its what works for you, and that's the bottom line.
