Well he's not a beer... I say fvck you to the coors family.
Whose seat is he running for?
The GOP choose Coors (Pete?) over Bob Schaeffer to run a few years back. The GOP went with "alleged" name recognition RE: MONEY Influx
over a GOP rep who stepped down / did not run for re-election like he said due to term limits.
The GOP had their ass handed to them and Coors went down in flames faster than a Pro-Choice candidate in the running for POPE.
Anybody with that much money, that didn't have to earn it the hard way, cannot possibly represent us in the plebeian classes.
He wouldn't have to steal off America and take lobby money like the rest of them... He's obviously running for the power... It goes without saying that he would probably want both anyhow...
Just one more case of when the ultra rich can buy their way into office. Makes me sick. However, that being said, Coors seems like a decent candidate and so long as there is an (R) after his name then I'll support him if he is the candidate.
No matter what you think of California politics- we watched as two very wealthy titans of Silicon Valley spent more (personal) money than most people can count, only to lose their elections. Let's keep that trend goign in Colorado this time- don't let the rich buy this election!
I could really care less how much money a candidate may or may not have.
I care that they have the best interest of the people, State and Country in mind.
I agree 100%, however, sometimes THAT person doesn't get in office because their wealthy opponent outspent them in ads. I would prefer to see a matched funds campaign, no candidate can outspend the other in the final outcome - this would be a huge hit considering independents won't have the bucks and a lot of thought would have to be put behind this because there are so many ins and outs of it, but it would even the field at least a little.
Well, I am still unsure of what he brings to the table other than an R next to his name.
Aside from his fat wallet I just read about him here. Typical campaign fluff but it looks like he is focusing on some of the most important issues instead of gay- transgender- lesbian- african- hermaphrodite- hypenated-bastardizations of Americans.
No to Perlmutter. He is a total socialist tool and his is a lawyer.
Joe Coors is a great guy. You can find him in King Soopers by himself buying something off the shelf.
He knows how to run a business. Businesses can't do deficit spending.
Permutter= socialist scumbag. I am hoping this dumb@ss will be replaced.
Does the fact that Coors Light is one of the title sponsors of Denver Pridefest make anyone question his values as a conservative? I know Joe is not his company and I'm all for a capitalist in office but the two messages seem to be at odds with one another.
Considering the fact that the Coors family no longer owns Coors (its actually owned by Molson ... yes Canadians ... they're generally a gay-friendly lot) I think the only Coors that is still involved in the company is Pete (who is chairman of MillerCoors, which is a subsidiary of Molson).
Also they sell beer ... something I'm sure that many social conservatives (well at least the Baptists) frown upon as much as the gay stuff.
