Sprinkler system advice needed

So i sprung a leak at the first T, the o-ring keeps popping out of its groove. I took it apart and put new tape on and put the o-ring back but it still leaks. Also on the 3rd pump/motor what ever it is the wire is corroded and broke off at the pump. So i have some work to do, i am also trying to get rid of the 5000 tons of rock that the previous owner loved so much! So i am looking for ideas on redoing this mess, i know a few guys that made the assembly removable to store inside during the winter and i am wondering if that is the way to go? Is there a better way to do this? They have 2 boxes to cover it all now and the whole thing looked like crap. Any ideas for a not to costly upgrade?

yeah, you'll have to rebuild the manifold (a stick of pipe some tee fittings, but really it won't take long. it's not 6' deep and you already have it dug up.

it's got a drain on the end, done, that's all you need for that short of mainline.

those wire connections are shit (if typical resi crap), replace with good underground fittings. (I like DBYR's, but there are lots of options, and electrical tape isn't one of them)

if the wire broke off at the solenoid, you'll need a new solenoid. Rainbird valves (all their solenoids are the same), about $10, you don't even have to turn the water off to change that out.

the gravel is great. keeps the crap down inside the box and helps drainage and gives the pipe support. put it back after you rebuild the manifold
and yeah, you'll need two big boxes. set them to grade and back fill, they won't be that noticeable if done correctly

Probably about 2 hours worth of work, maybe $50/$75 worth of parts (assuming you already have the boxes) done right and done forever.

Can you get the solenoids at home depot? I wish there was 1 box big enough for it all? I will fill it back in under this mess then the rest is gonna get grass. I have more rock then i know what to do with, wish i had a bobcat [Beer]

Actually the inlet pipe is copper or what ever and is threaded. I may have to hire someone to do this as i am NO plumber.

threaded female adapter (slip by female) and then PVC from there.

do NOT hire a plumber.
Plumbers don't know dick shit about sprinkler systems.

how about using a hose with a sprinkler? just kidding. Take Wulf upon his offer. Sprinkler system need maint. and once you learn to do the maint. then its no issue if somrthing breaks in the future.

Really? Just pretend it is cable you're running to make it simple. If i could bend my knee i could knock it out in about 2-3 hours, shoveling gravel not included.
Put some of that gravel aside and i'll see about having someone come by to take it off your hands.
