Mountain Bike season is fastly approaching.
Anyone interested in a ride?
anyone man enough to try?
If only I had a bike...
Been doing CrossFit.com for two plus years now and dropped 50lbs of fat and am keeping it off (thanks to KC - he posted the link many, many moons ago). It has made a world of difference hunting elk!
Anyway KC, tell me more about the ride. Where, when, how far, terrain, etc.
Where are you riding? I'm in the Springs. I work for a Mtb Suspension Company......
Where's MP5 at ?
Me and a couple buddies go every Monday eve (starting in a few weeks) at 6ish (pm) we meet at one of the Denver foothill trails. Let me know if you want me to drop you a line to let you know where we're meeting (when we do).
sure, I'd like to know where/when.. might even be able to go direct from work (Golden)
Wish I could make it monday evenings. I work monday evenings.
A couple of weeks in May might work for me though.
Glad to see you are keeping up with it! I assume that you like it beings you have been doing it for 2 years now huh.Quote:

The ride depends on who is going skill level etc... Last year we did a pretty easy one. Only 2 or three technical spots, nice big hill climb then rolling hills from there. Only 7idl, MP5 and myself went. Would like to see a better turn out this year.
hells yeah!!!!!Quote:

I might be interested... Haven't been on my bike for a year, but I am in Golden.
I thought about makeing a thread for your B-day but since your so young and all I figured it would be pointless. You only have one year left before the teribble 30's LOL.Quote:

Just a note.....
I ride like a man hardtail, no cages, no clip-ins......
what evar! :P
I am in Dallas right now, not much mountain biking. However, I forgot how many hot a$$ chicks there are here. I will see if I can bring some of them back to Colorado. There seems to be a shortage of hippies here so you guys should go round some up and hopefully we can make some sort of an exchange. [pirate]
That looks like a Prophet. I ride the same rig.Quote:

yep, it's an '06 Prophet
keep practicing fellas...

I'm gonna get mine into the shop this weekend for the pre-season tuneup, and I've been riding the stationaries at the gym at school to get my legs at least mildly into shape. Schwinn stationary bikes have awesome resistance settings.
'98 or '99 Giant Iguana SE. I'm all about the hardtail too, although mine has toeclips. Need to delete the bottle cages now that I've got a Camelbak.
that was last years COAR team ride [pirate]Quote:

I leave mine on for the real long rides that my camel back is not big enough for.Quote:

Melt, damn it, melt!
well my brothers, what's up?
I was out at waterton canyon this morning.. nice ride... till you get to the damn dam.. then the grade increases like a mofo!
surely you girls can make it that far (~6.5mi) (to the dam)
fwiw, on a semi related side note.. I did see several hotties on the trail (road), majority were running/jogging [WooHoo]
So, where we goin' next?
today was a last minute thought at bedtime last night.. need to plan something better.. who's with me?
KC?
MP5?
Ahhhhhh Lets do it. I havent been riding as much as I normally do but I can start hitting the trail hard tomorrow morning.
hotties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmmm cant wait...
I have been running alot lately not really sure why because I dont really like running but there have been some pretty nice ones on the trail here by my house!!! Makes the workout much more enjoyable.
http://www.singletracks.com/
there's a link so people can get an idea of whats in the area as far as trails go.
I'm thinking that White Ranch looks like a pretty nice ride.
I can't do anything till next weekend though.
I will probably take my daughter up to waterton on sunday though for her first time off the pavement. ;)
eta: C'mon people... summer will be over before we know it!!!!!
You want to Start White Ranch from the top or the bottom?
Its a good ride either way. Pretty hard (read slope wise not technical) if you start from the bottom.
heck I don't know.
what do you recommend? (I've never been there)
I'm going saturday AM, I've already decided [GaGa]
another option:
http://www.trailcentral.com/trail/tr....php?trail=105
youze guyz are missin all the fun!
LOL........[Whacko]
Those are both awesome trails, but both are VERY steep and long climbs. (White Ranch is only this way if you start from the bottom) They are both doable and fun though.
I would perfer to start White Ranch from the bottom only because the downhill at the end is well worth it! Same with Mt. Falcon the downhill is well worth it! ;)
I cant go this saturday because I am pouring some concrete in my back yard for a shed. (Just about called you to come help)
[Abused]
well, I do owe you one.
let me know ;)
I think I already have more than enough people. I dont think the concrete truck will be able to keep up. But I will let you know.
changed to tomorrow.. (I was up late goofin' off)
anyone?
any ride ?
lemme know!
Where you going what time? I go back to nights so I might make it up tomorrow.
I'm still open. I plan on looking further into this before I go to bed tonight.
so, if anyone has an Idea, speak up!
I just want to get out on my bike.
I'd be up for somehting more dangerous than waterton if there's someone coming along that could call for help [Abused]
