Holy Hell on Earth

This would be my 9 year old daughter. Good God, I am looking forward to my "deployment" in order to get out of this mess. Tonight was a royal smack-down in my house over non-issues. I am literally counting down the next 9 years because I know she will tear out of the house the first chance she gets.

For all of you out there with young daughters, God bless you. I have zero issues out of my 11 year old daughter but I am bracing for the teenage years.

My wife is a true saint who will have to deal with this mess/crap for the next 12 months. If read in the news about a lady going crazy in the Springs, it will probably be her.

What did she do?

I have a 12 year old daughter, and we've had a few absolute blowouts over piddly little crap just because she seems determined to fight. Other days...she's just perfect. My 9 year old son is high functioning autistic, so we have our days with him, too.

Sometimes I'm glad that my post-retirement job retains the deployment factor...[ROFL1]

I had to re-read that. I hit "almost 17 daughters" and I'm thinking 16 daughters and a son that the doc's thought was a girl in the sonogram. Felt REAL bad for you for a second there. And worse for the Mrs.

LOL! Guess I should have been clearer: TWO daughters aged almost 12 and almost 17.

I got that, but had a big spit take on first quick read.

14 year old daughter here.

Compared to the 22 and 20 year old sons, they all have issues. That's OK, so did I when I was that age. Gives so much perspective on what our parents went through [Beer]

My 9 year old is very strong willed. It is to the point that she literally explodes if she doesn't get to do what she wants to do. Of course, we (my wife and I) don't put up with that crap, so........

Tonight, she threw a fit about who was going to take her to the school open house. It was literally ridiculous but brought much drama to my house.

I have 3 kids total, oldest is 12 year old girl middle is 9 year old boy and youngest is a 2 year old girl. So we get to have a toddler and teenager at the same time. It is also way more work with 3 kids then it. Was with 2....but we love them all!

I'm so glad I don't have kids, my 3 year old niece already tells me that her Grandma ( my mother) can't go out with us because she is too old and asks too many questions, [ROFL1]

it'll only get worse I'm assuming.

i hope everthing works out ,, but just in case gorilla tape works on the boys [Beer]

I am thankful every day that the good lord in his infinite wisdom blessed me with boys. I don't know how you guys do it. Hell I can barely handle the adult ones.

Man, I have a 15 yo stepdaughter who is a GIANT pain in the ass. I try to keep my cool and realize that she is "supposed to" be a PITA at that age. It's all "gimme this and that" and when I say "sure...when you finish your chores" I get the "you're an asshole" look.

In addition, she's Asian and seems to have a bias against white folks. We live in Gilpin County (aka Whiteville) so she better get over that shit or she's gonna have a lonely high school experience.

From what others have told me, she'll be our best friend when she's 25 or so. Only 10 more years!

Oh yeah. Got another daghter of my own coming in November. She'll be perfect, of course. :)

Never had a child of my own, and thank God I never will. The only upside to your prostate turning into a golf ball.

Angry blowups are understandable - teenagers are technically insane and you expect it. It's the passive aggressive crap that bugs me. I've tried to motivate my 17yr old to do good in school and figure out what she wants to do in life and all I get is "meh". [Bang]

At least you know ahead of time what you have. I had a perfect angel until about 15 and then overnight she turned into a nasty little Bitch! Hit us like a brick wall. Yes, having her mouth washed out with a bar of lava soap worked for her foul mouth but nothing worked for her attitude. Forward three years later and she is coming around again. Be patient and good luck!

Then there is the DEBBIL, the 7 year old daughter who I am either going to institutionalize or force into the Marine Corps at an early age.
She is a free wheeler, doesnt like authority, doesnt play well with others and should not have sharp objects.

I just dont get it. Same wife, just two years apart but what a difference in the two kids.
I love her as dearly as the first born but she might be the devil. Ive checked her scalp for the markings of the beast.

I'm never having kids. I thought I would enjoy it after getting past the sticky phase (why are children always so sticky?). But hearing all these horror stories, and then a friend of mine who has 3 daughters (IIRC 8, 13, and 17) and he's the only guy in the house besides their Alaskan Malamute. He's always tearing his [very little] hair out and wonders "Why is everyone crying?"

My wife and I talked about the kids thing before we got married. Best talk we ever had.

Where do you think I got the sticky idea from? The gal I'm dating now (no I'm not sure if she's the one or not, too early) doesn't want kids, but then again her biological clock isn't going off just yet... subject to change. But as of today, 10AUG2012 I do not desire to have children. Not set in stone, maybe one day I will... [Beer]

I have a 2 step daughters, one just joined the Army Reserve, she is a great kid and very low maintance and super easy to get along with. The other one is 17 years old and an absolute pain in the ass to live with. I don’t know what happened with her, she went from being a somewhat easy kid, to a little a-hole all in about the span of 2 years.
At the age of 15, she stole my mother in laws credit card, bought her boyfriend a bike, (we called the police on that one to teach her a lesson). Well that didn’t help just made her more defiant and self-serving monster.
She has been ticketed for shoplifting, sneaks out at night and no matter what we tell her about her future she has the same response “I don’t care, I do what I want to do” drives me nuts, she has even threatened to call the police on me for punishing her for her behavior. Its so bad that her real dad wont even take her because” it will ruin his relationship with his new wife”… thanks dick!
So I am now counting down the days, months that she turns 18 and we can kick her out of the house. Girls and such a pain the butt.

When I was a PL, I got a frantic call from one of my Soldiers. He needed a ride home form some girl's house that he found out wasn't really a girl, but was at her house and she drove him there.
