About 30 min ago I saw one in the middle of the road. Hwy 7 and the on ramp to I-25. Was about a yard long and about as big around as a marble. Very light colored. Light tan or even close to white. It was moving like you wouldn't believe to try and get out of trafic. Someone had run over the tail end of him. I could see it was flattened out but good. I moved over so I didn't get him.
I ran over a snake on HWY 83 on Monday. I thought it was just a stick or piece or rope or something laying in the road and then it started moving and I squished it.
Wierd, I'm outside all the time are rarely see snakes but this year I've seen quite a few...
Big snake year?
I have a break open HR 20ga I'm making just for the little bastards. I HATE SNAKES!
Found a garter by my front step a couple days ago, and when I went to catch him so I could relocate him to the field by my house, the darn thing went into a hole in the rocks and under the step!!! Now I'm wondering how many of them are under there. I am happy that it was a garter and not a rattler though.
3 more today wtf I must have a snake infestation. All 3 today looked the same must have a snake motel hidden around here somewhere.
You have of rabbits? We used to think they were cute and now we have one of the highest rates of rattle snakes found in a neighborhood in the state according to the Denver Post so I just acquired an air rifle this week and am trying to get a consistent zero on it (cheapo Walmart job w/scope) so I can do some covert ops to eliminate rabbits nearby in hopes to lower the rattle snake population. No food, no snakes. Those damn rabbits are eating all my flowers, plants & grasses too. Sumumabitches!
I am a pretty active outdoors type person and hunt pronghorns with my bow so you think I would run into snakes but I hardly ever do..in 4 years out here now I have only ran in to one rattle snake..I think its because I'm looking for them..maybe you guys should want to see them..then you won't..works for me
Sure thing. We had the same thing; Shit tons of rabbits for years and all we thought was... how cute! After a couple years of that the snakes start moving in though. Hoping I can convince some neighbors via signs at the mail boxes to either join me in taking up arms to rid our neighborhood of rabbits/snakes or at least not calling 911 on me and reporting me for 'discharging my fully automatic AK47' within city limits.
Do snakes wave????[Kick1]
