Who would do this?? Dress up as a decoy while hunting? It looks like a great way to get shot to me.

A BIG no-no in my book.
LMAO ... there are was to get shot faster, but I imagine that would do it for you. Very bad idea, if that even needs said.
No way. I used a montana decoy antelope decoy a few year back out east during rifle season. They do work, and do work great however I almost had to kick the shit out of a guy who could not see worth a shit!
Archery,,, duh.
They are made more for Archery season. I know Brandon real well and it is amazing how well these work. Even he says do not use them for rifle season.
Honestly has anyone on here killed an antelope with a bow? I have never shot one under 300 yards with a rifle because they see too well and are in open ground. It is tough to get in close to them. I might try it out next year before the season starts to see how well it works, with a very, very good friend watching my back. Looks like fun to me.
Oh yeah, only during the first week of archery season, probably PLO.
Count me as a +3 for archery antelope.
Spot and stalk is very difficult. I have done it once and consider it some of the hardest hunting in the world. On the other hand putting a blind near a water source and it it like hunting from a tree stand back east. Sit.. wait...and shoot.
Funny though when I went shooting out by Briggsdale once, setting up to shoot a herd of 3-4 of them were passing past a cow fence maybe 100 yards away unconcernedly. Wished Oh wished so badly I could have taken them. They must get a memo about hunting season dates.
Twice. One buck and one doe. There are places that spot and stalk are do-able, and there are places where spot and stalk with a rifle is dang near impossible. I get to hunt where the land features allow a decent chances of spot and stalk with the bow.Quote:

It's not easy, but what I love about it is that you're always in the game. Mess up a stalk, get on a hill, and spot the next stalker. I always target lone animals, but the buck that I got was in a herd of 9 bucks, so it is possible even when in a heard.
Knowing some of the yokels I've run into in the woods, this seems like a great way to get your ass shot off/perforated with a broadhead...
Be the target...
