Woke up this morning and out of nowhere my 12 year old doberman has wobbles. She's not in pain but her hind end is somewhat paralyzed. When she sets up her head wobbles around. Probably going to have to have her put down later. Best dog I ever had.

That really sucks. I had a dog that had liver cancer, watching him suffer was the worst.
That sucks man! At least though from what it sounds she's not in any pain. Hopefully things turn out for the better.
Oh, man. I'm so sorry. I'm glad she's not hurting. You have lots of support on this board. Hang in there.
That sucks man! We're sorry.
I'm so sorry!! I'm still hurting from my last one! Keepin the fingers crossed for you!
Man if anyone know what your going through I / we do. Just show her the maximum amount of love you can in the time you have left. You need anything just ask. Sorry to hear about this man God Bless.
That really really gets my allergies going.. stupid allergies.

Terrible news. Take comfort in knowing you gave her a good life
I had a black lab mix (Lilly) that my wife and I re-adopted from her parents when they moved to another country.
We had to have her put down while we were visiting my wife's parents. We weren't at home to say goodbye. The Vet said that she could keep Lilly alive long enough for us to get home and say goodbye, but that she couldn't guarantee that Lilly would be pain-free. Our 'want' to say goodbye was much overshadowed by Lilly's NEED to have a dignified and honest decision made. We made the choice to put her down. Man, that was hard.
What made it harder was when we got home, my then-3-yr old mini-dachshund (Didi) spent a good two days trying to find Lilly. Hearing Didi's heart break when she finally realized that Lilly wasn't coming back was louder than any ND ever could be.
Ain't nothing sadder than a truly sad wiener dog.
I feel for you, CapLock.
So sad, breaks my heart every time I read these about family members. Sorry man, I will keep you in mind today.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Hardest thing to do is not to wait too long even though that goes against all our natural inclinations, want to save every possible moment.
It's really weird though. Lost our dog about a month ago, had him 13 years. I had so many wonderful best wishes from folks on here. At first the last thing you want is another one, but after the initial pain is over, all I want is to get another dog to share our lives.
Sad to hear. It never is easy at this point in their lives.
All I can say is make her remaining time comforting and happy.
Sorry to hear the sad news.
Sorry to hear that; it's never easy.
Did the same to my Australian Shepard a year ago. Fuck same exact scenario. Seizures and a stroke. Loved him. Sorry brother.
My 13 year old guy had similar problems last winter and we thought we'd have to put him down. I was thinking stroke. It turned out to be a serious inner ear infection that messed up his balance bad. He couldn't even walk. He got over it but he's completely deaf now.
Good luck with your best friend. It's hard to see them sick.
Pets are family-good luck
Have her checked out. Those symptoms can be caused by a lot of things that don't necessarily mean it's the end of the line for her.
Praying for a good outcome for your girl.
Anxiousy awaiting word here. My thoughts & prayers out to you and your family.
I've never understood those who treat/think about their pets about the same way they do a piece of furniture. I see that you think like most of us here, they are family members & it hurts like hell when they are sick or dying.
Blessing of peace out to you.
Prayers for you and yours. I hope the dog checks out and it's not major. I took my little guy in for what I thought would be a teeth cleaning(he was having a hard time eating) and it turned out he had cancer in his kidneys and small intestines. It was terrible to watch him go downhill.
You are close to the very I go to in conifer. If it is a stroke or something like that he is the man. I drive 45 minutes one way to take my boys to him. He is a grumpy old cuss but knows his stuff, very right wing to. If you want his info shoot me a PM.
Do what's best for your friend. Reach out if you need anything.
I just went through putting my boy down this summer. I miss him every day.
Sorry to hear that, it sucks just having to think about it. I hope everything works out for the better.
We had to put our boxer down early this spring, and it was one of the hardest things I've had to do.
As Monky said, damn allergies.
Francis vet is where I take my doberman. They are in Golden and they are very familiar with dobermans. Take your dog in for at least a check up and see whats up. There may be something you can do for her or they may be able to refer you to somewhere that can help.
Good Luck and keep us posted! Sending some good vibes your way
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Going to the vet this morning. Dog has pretty much fully recovered!! Hope the Vet can tell us what happened. I'm thinking seizure because if it were a stroke there would be more lasting damage. Could be the wobbles disease and that nerve somehow was relieved for the time . Anyways the dog yesterday couldn't stand or control her rear legs. Head looked like a bobble head at times. Just knew if I took her in she'd get put down.
This morning she took a treat ran out the door with it. I'm speechless.
Thanks for all the get wells..it worked.
Great news [Beer]
I had a Shepard years ago that had epilepsy, he would have a seizure one day, the next he was fine. Hope all goes well.
Had a Maltese (wife's dog) with epilepsy. He was on phenobarbital most of his life. Still had occasional seizures which were hell to watch, but they were mostly managed.
Awesome news!!! Keep us updated on what the vet says, ok? And if it's not too much to ask, can we see a pic?[Coffee]
Thought and prayers.
Awesome news man!
Great news! I hope all is well.
Excellent! I wish they could just TELL us what's wrong with them.
Great news. Could've possibly been a small case of bloat or something. My dobie was acting really weird one night, he couldn't stand up and was very lethargic. We took him to the vet and they couldn't find anything. The next day he was running the house like nothing happened.
You may want to go see a vet and do some blood work.
That's wonderful news, I'm very relieved. Time for a long stretch of quality time!!
