Reading those, it sounds like Iran is its very own cheering section. They probably had every literate Iranian in the Revolutionary Guard writing those...they probably only had to write 3-4 each...[ROFL1]
Looks like someone from Iran got ahold of those "do it yourself" plans to build your own 50.
Jesus
Those comments are interesting. I have to say though that we underestimate Iran and lump them in with other Mideast countries when in reality they are much closer to Russian or other eastern European countries with their levels of education and technical expertise. They have independently engineered nuclear power, and a much more modern society than say Afghanistan. They even have political propaganda on par with the Obummer administration so that has to tell you something. Do not underestimate them.
I wonder how accurate and how safe the thing is.
Those comments made me laugh.
"requires three operators for efficient use" wtf [ROFL3]
someone's gonna forget to load the round in there[ROFL2]
Or is one on the scope, one pulling on the trigger, and the other on the butt of the rifle [ROFL2]
agh sh*t... I better stop [LOL]
I would rather shoot something made by Gunsmoke than that....
They tend to buy their expertise, though, not develop it themselves. They didn't independently engineer nuclear power, they stole/bought a good portion of it, at least technology-wise. They have had a modern society, although I believe it has suffered under the current regime. And that rifle does look like they ripped off someone else's design, and I wonder about its quality.
That looks like a highly refined weapon! hahaha wtf? it seriously looks like a gun barrel with a buttpad, with some sort of trigger mechanism and pistol grip stuck on the bottom and a scope on top. Weighs 40 lbs? Seems practical. Effective range 4km? Seems unlikely. 3 man crew? Seems like a practical joke. Also, it looks like a single-shot gun.
How much scope do you need to hit a man sized target at 4km? [LOL]
Three operators, weighs 22 kg (48.8 lbs). Not exactly HSLD gear.
I thought the 3 operators were talking about the tactical vehicle?
Hey dont knock these guys, this could be the next AK47...................
[ROFL1]
How about the 14.5mm projectile? Larger than a .50 cal. Has this cartridge configuration been around for long? Must kick like a mule to move such a heavy bullet that far down range.
It's to funny [ROFL1]
guy on the bottom "I'm ready" while he's holding the butt stock
guy in the middle "a lil higher to the right" at the guy bellow him while looking through the scope
the guy on top waiting for the guy in the middle to order "FIRE!" as he's in charge of pulling the trigger...
ah sh*t [ROFL2][ROFL3] I just don't know how they'd use 3 guys on a rifle [LOL]
I thought Steyr was selling them bunch of HS50 sniper rifles to Iran around 2006.
The comments are part of the iranian defense strategy.. they're going to scare the US/UK Zionist machine into thinking that the entire ME is standing behind Iran waiting for them to defeat the Zionist...
Is that like their stealth boat/plane from a few years back.. /facepalm.
More and More posturing and chest puffery.. Israel needs to nuke them already.
I wonder how well the crew and rifle will stand up to a Hellfire?
You see the Poll on the right side of the screen? [ROFL1]

What is the best way for confronting the West's anti-Islam campaign?
- 1) Intensifying worldwide demonstrations.
- 2) Ignoring Islamophobic and sacrilegious acts.
- 3) Public pressure on Muslim states to cut US ties.
- 4) Criticizing those behind the desecration of Islam.
I'm curious what optics Iran would have access to, given ITAR and all that.
3 man crew:
Larry
Moe
Curly

6.1 feet long
49lbs
.57 cal projectile
Useful range: 2.5mi
Effective range: 1.86miles
That thing is gigantic. No wonder they need three man teams.
The comments are very entertaining.

Yeah, real reliable source... that explains the comments. [Rant1]Quote:

I'd take one. It doesn't seem to be all that bad.
